Redirect sets Reply-To to me
Hi all, Redirect does not seem to set the Reply-To: line and as such is a bit useless as I redirect mail from someone and when the intended receiver gets the email, they end up writing back to me. Is this a bug? TIA -- Ben Kennish [EMAIL PROTECTED] Current version is 1.61 | Using TBUDL information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

I removed these from mine (since they invariable match the from details) and the problem goes away. - -- Cheers -- .\\arck D Pearlstone -- List moderator TB! v1.62/Beta1 on Windows 2000 5.0.2195 Service Pack 2 ' -BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE- Version: GnuPG v1.1.90-nr1 (Windows 2000) iD8DBQE9Vkl5OeQkq5KdzaARAvPwAKCMap4w78xDsoJpWF9d9slOfyp04wCgriC+ CYoe2EYo5AMOpQVabh1GgAg= =fAvg -END PGP SIGNATURE- Current version is 1.61 | Using TBUDL information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

BK Is this a bug? Works fine over here. When redirecting a message, the original From: is retained, so no Reply-To is needed, I'd say. And if the original message had a Reply-To set, the same Reply-To is inserted into the redirected message. -- Regards, Lars The Bat! 1.62/Beta1 on Windows XP 5.1 Build 2600 |Lars Geiger | mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]| Current version is 1.61 | Using TBUDL information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

But out of curiosity, why isn't there an option in the settings that lets you clear reply-to on redirect ? Shall I post it as a feature request? BK Shall I post it as a feature request? That is your privilege. Keep in mind that you do not need to insert anything under Reply-To if you want people to reply to the address from which you send. But one thing I would like to advise is that optional settings can be overdone. Please have a look here: http://www.zentrumderarbeit.org/TheBat%21/img/html-kit_preferences.gif (180KB). It shows (in an animated gif) the myriad of options for an application. The options are so many as to confuse any user. That was my point.
