Sorting Office question
I recently started using SubFilters and am getting some filtering I don't understand... I have a Filter called Set Color that does nothing and is set to Continue processing with other filters, in it for example is a SubFilter to change any message from family (based on AB group) to blue in the message list. Yes, there are others, and they are all similar. The next filter is The Bat! (configured exactly like my Set Color filter) and it contains a SubFilter The Bat! lists which moves the message to a folder. Here is where it gets interesting! The SubFilter to move the message is not set to Continue processing with other filters, but it does continue processing the other filters! If I have a TB list member in my AB, then my known filter at the end takes precidence and moves it to Inbox-Known. Any idea why that is happening or what I can do to fix it? -- Tim Musson Flying with The Bat! eMail v3.99.29 Men are from here, and women are from way over there. Re: Sorting Office question
Hello Tim, TM Here is where it gets interesting! The SubFilter to move the message TM is not set to Continue processing with other filters, but it does TM continue processing the other filters! The Continue... option works only for a single level. If you want to stop after a sub-filter was triggered, you should create a post-processing filter that check user parameters (and set those parameters by the stop-filters). -- Best regards, Stefan Current version is 4.0.24.0 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

Yes, there are others, and they are all similar. You've enabled 'continue processing...' in order to enable the filtering with subfilters, is that it? You don't have to, as subfilters are processed when their parent filter has been triggered. You'd do best to consider subfilters part of the parent filter, so when you enable 'continue processing...' for that parent filter the next processing will continue on the parent level, as you've seen happening. So disable 'continue processing...' for the parent filter and this problem is over. -- Groetjes, Roelof I was the kid next door's imaginary friend. http://www.voormijalleen.nl/ The Bat! 4.0.24.16 Windows Vista 6.0 Build 6000 3 pop3 accounts OTFE enabled Quad Core 2.4GHz 4 GB RAM pgpoI0BJy1cYY.pgp Description: PGP signature Current version is 4.0.24.0 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
