The trailing %- behind the macros only make sure that no extra empty lines are inserted. One thing remains, you need to transfer the filters from your old account to the new one. Depending on how many filters you have, you can either Copy and Paste them one by one from the sorting office of the old account to the sorting office of the new account - or, if you have many many filters, you Copy them from the old account (one by one) and Paste them into a single textfile (in Notepad or somewhere), then you Copy the entire textfile and Paste it into the sorting office of the new account (in one go). I hope my memory serves me right with the filter copying, someone please correct me if I'm wrong. -- Best regards, Alexander (http://www.neurowerx.de - ICQ 238153981) The development of Hydro-electric power in the desert of North America awaits only the introduction of water. -- Statement in Nuclear News Current version is 3.5.25 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

multiple e-mail account with same name
Hi. I would appreciate it if someone could help me to figure out how to transition my e-mail setup from an ISP to a private domain. Specifically, if I have an e-mail account in The Bat for Achdut for mail obtained from RCN, is it possible to set up a private domain with the same mailbox name, achdut, and have The Bat retrieve mail from the private domain and filter it into the same folders into which mail addressed to [EMAIL PROTECTED] is filtered? When I attempt to set up a new account the prompt tells me that any name I use must be different from one that is already being used. Since achdut is already being used (for the RCN server), am I now prevented from using achdut to access mail located at [EMAIL PROTECTED]? -- Avi Avram Sacks using The Bat ver. 1.62r. Thats just a name. You could rename your old account to [EMAIL PROTECTED] and set up a new account named [EMAIL PROTECTED]. You can do that in the Account Properties (from the Account menu). Do you want to use BOTH accounts? If not, you can do as Tony said and simply change the server address for POP and SMTP to your new one. Re: multiple e-mail account with same name
Thanks, everyone for your advice about setting up multiple accounts with the same name. I now understand I can just use a name like [EMAIL PROTECTED] as a user name, and not just achdut. Elementary to those who understand the ins and outs of the software--but it wasn't to me. However, others have raised some questions about the filtering. This is what I did, running v. 1.62 in a situation similar to yours. Are there any distinct advantages, for my purposes, in having the latest and greatest version of The Bat? Speaking with complete frankness, I say there are none. I upgraded to v. 2.6 and further within 2.xx to get Smiley and Roguemoticon capability.
