Re: [Tex-music] M-Tx, first bar shorter and then a repeat
2014-02-01 Dirk Laurie dirk.lau...@gmail.com: Until I get this fixed, the best workaround is: 1. Use plain bar lines. 2. Insert an explicit left repeat in what will become PMX's first voice. OK, I have fixed it and the changes are on my GitHub repository, as described in another thread. The actual code change is tiny, but finding the spot required some persistence. Staring at the workaround (just one extra `Rl`), I am not so sure any more that I should have considered this to be a bug. After all, a repeat sign commonly appears in mid-bar later on when the repeat includes the pickup.. Oh, well, it's done now, and I'm sure at least that it is the intuitively right thing to do. If you have a repeat sign in the middle of your pickup, you will be confusing the performer too. --- TeX-music@tug.org mailing list If you want to unsubscribe or look at the archives, go to http://tug.org/mailman/listinfo/tex-music

Re: [Tex-music] M-Tx, first bar shorter and then a repeat
I'm not an M-Tx user and did not succeed in getting any part of the (incomplete) example to compile. But in PMX, you can start out with a block of input in the meter of the pickup bar, specified for example as 1 4 3 4 (so the 3/4 prints out as the meter), then start a brand new input block with a blind meter change m3/4/0/0 and do the rest of the piece. I suspect something similar might work in M-Tx. I'm surprised though that your pickup worked at all without explicitly telling M-Tx about it. It would be a lot easier to diagnose your problem if you included an excerpt of the source that would compile. --Don Simons -Original Message- From: TeX-Music [mailto:tex-music-boun...@tug.org] On Behalf Of Wojtek Chemijewski Sent: Tuesday, January 28, 2014 2:22 PM To: tex-music@tug.org Subject: [Tex-music] M-Tx, first bar shorter and then a repeat Hello Experts, I am using M-Tx and trying to typeset a song, which starts from a shorter bar and then goes all the way 3/4, like this: U: d C F f8 g | a4 a8 a g f | ...
