Re: [tw] Re: Lost work two times with tiddlywiki node version

2016-12-24 Thread Dmitry Sokolov
I see dropping modified tiddler as a bug.

I am intensively working with PBWorks at the moment (while preparing
transfer to TW in future).
PBWorks gives you all indicators of the processes taking place. I know, for
example, that saving finished when a URL with no "edit" appeared. Then,
it's safe to close the window.
Another protection measures they have is a warning dialogue on closing page
being edited, before the save button pressed.

I think, we have to learn best practices from other platforms, collect them
within just one platform, and implement as soon as practical.
Sorry for being persistent with the simple idea:
our team performance depends on how quick particular topics are
found/discovered for reuse.
Please let me know if this mechanism is already realised, and that's just
me who can't see it.

Thank you,
Dmitry

Re: [tw] TW5: Is it possible to disable tags from being displayed in TiddlyMaps?

2016-12-24 Thread Felix Küppers
Hi Tom,

tags are never displayed per default in tiddlymap, the only exception being the
"live view".

In this case: open the "view configuration" of the view you want to change. go
to the "edit filters" tab then make sure the following line is added to the
existing edge-type filter entries in your edge-type filter textbox:

-[[tw-list:tags]]

Regards

Hi Dave,

Not sure, but I believe you may have spotted a(nother) short-comming of the
paragraph handling in TiddlyWiki... being, that — at least I wouldn't know
how — you cannot assign a class name to such a paragraph (and use css to
style it appropriately). Or can you?

Best wishes,

As one who finds lots of useful information daily on StackExchange sites I
applaud this idea and added a few proposed questions.

I can see tiddlywiki.stackexchange.com becoming a much more valuable way to
find answers to questions involving, e.g., questions tagged [list] [tag]
[sort]. Even if the area51 proposal does not pass there would be nothing
preventing simply adding to the Q&A found
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/tagged/tiddlywiki currently.

If there's more than one tag, this appears to just "OR" the results (add

Dear Danielo,

It seems I've caught the point. Files type of index.html and static.html
are to be located directly at *master branch*:

github.com//.github.io

That's exactly what I did creating a script file staticm.bat for Windows at
my comp:

   if exist static\ del /s/q static\ > nul
   if exist index.html del /s/q index.html > nul
   if exist static.html del /s/q static.html > nul
   if exist \temp1029384756 del /s/q \temp1029384756 > nul
   if exist \temp1029384756 rd \temp1029384756 > nul

   call tiddlywiki ./wiki --build

   md \temp1029384756
   xcopy /s/y wiki\output\*.* \temp1029384756 > nul
   xcopy /s/y \temp1029384756\*.* > nul
   del /s/q \temp1029384756 > nul
   rd \temp1029384756 > nul
   del /s/q wiki\output > nul

This scheme is inconsistent with building github pages for a project but it
workable.

Dear Danielo,

For the time being I succeeded to build github pages for two documents
(https://protw.github.io/tw5/ and https://protw.github.io/rder-uk/) having
modified just a bit your instruction (regarding forking as I told earlier).

Then I decided to build a portfolio site at *https://protw.github.io/*.
However, again I'm faced some obstacle, namely:

   - according to github help

   I organized a project named *protw.github.io*;
   - then I added, comitted and pulled to *protw.github.io* some new
   tiddlers;
   - then I checked building procedures at *travis-ci* having the same
configuration files *.travis.yml* and *publish.sh*. - everything OK.

However, site *https://protw.github.io/*. renders just *README.md*, though
there is branch *gh-pages* containing deployed *index.html*, *static.html*
and folder *static/*.

Could you guess what's the issue and way out?

Sincerely
Olegh

[tw] Snippet question

2016-12-24 Thread David Gifford
Hi all

One more question. I would like to create a snippet that stamps the
*current* text of a source tiddler into a second tiddler but where the
stamped text in the second tiddler won't change if I later edit the text of
the source tiddler.

I tried:

@@.source {{$:/.giffmex/Source/Author}}, //{{$:/.giffmex/Source/Title}}//,
@@

but then I realized that if I later change the text in either of those two
source tiddlers, the text will also change in the stamps.

Dave

[tw] List links CSS question

2016-12-24 Thread David Gifford
Hi all

Is there a way to use CSS to reduce the space above and below the
list-links macro? It might just be the space of the p element, but there
are times I would like the bulleted list appear right below the title I
give to the list...

[tw] [tw5] Collecting links for tiddlywiki.com

2016-12-24 Thread Jeremy Ruston
The links to community resources on tiddlywiki.com are
very out of date:

http://tiddlywiki.com/prerelease/#Community

It would be great to try to gather more useful, up-to-date links before the
release of 5.1.14.

So, if there’s something that you’ve made, or something that somebody else has
made that you rely on every day, please nominate the link here.

Bonus points if you’re able to submit the link as a .tid file following the
same format as the existing link tiddlers:

http://tiddlywiki.com/prerelease/#TiddlyMap%20Plugin%20by%20Felix%20K%C3%BCppers

Best wishes

Jeremy

Here's your plugin link: AutoTag
 ;-)

I'm thinking I may create something slightly different, where those
"autotags" are created not at the tiddlers themselves but under a
system-namespace, decoupled so as to not overload actual tiddlers with
plugin related data.

My variation would probably also have a button to re-index everything, e.g.
initially or after changing the definition for what is to be matched as a
tag.

Best wishes,

Tobias.

2016-12-24 Thread Danielo Rodríguez
I have created a plugin called automatic tags or something like that. Instead
of look for hashtags it looks for existing tags contained as words in the
tiddler being saved, and all matches are added as tags to the tiddler.
Does that fit your needs?
