[tw] Re: Tiddly Extension for Firefox 57?

2017-11-11 Thread Davïd
As I understand it, Seamonkey is going to continue to allow "legacy"
extensions/addons.

I tried "auto-converting" the Tiddlyfox addon using this tool:

http://addonconverter.fotokraina.com/

While the resulting XPI "installed" no problem, there wasn't a functioning
tiddly-save-thing.

However, this might simply be a matter of getting the Tiddlyfox icon to
show up on the right bit of Seamonkey's chrome. I'm not sure. But for
someone who knows what they're doing (I don't), converting "Tiddlyfox" to
"TIddlymonkey" (or whatever!) could be low hanging fruit, and extend the
life of this valuable addon.

Any thoughts?

It's worth noting, too, that if the Area51 proposal doesn't make it to
"beta", then another option (rather than the massive Stack Overflow) would
be to post "tiddlywiki" tagged questions on Webapps.SE - there are already
8 such questions there now:

http://webapps.stackexchange.com/questions/tagged/tiddlywiki

Re: [tw] TiddlyWiki StackExchange

2016-12-25 Thread Davïd
As another StackExchange regular (already signed up on Area51), just to
note on the "vision discussions and such things" - the SE model also has
"chatrooms" and allows for "events"...

http://chat.stackexchange.com/?tab=events&sort=event&host=stackexchange.com

...which allows for this sort of thing (to some extent) within the SE
"ecosystem". The TeX.SE group is pretty handy with this sort of thing

I think this is a great idea, would *definitely* enhance my use of TW5, and
probably has other unforeseen benefits as well. I have a hard time thinking
of a down-side!

Pointer to the docs appreciated. I'm a regular, but not very intensive, TW
user, so this is a real help. Thanks!

Re: [tw] TW5 Default type

2016-06-13 Thread Davïd
I'm happily using Tobias Beer's solution, with one small change: the first
line I have this way:

<$button tooltip="Create new Markdown tiddler" class="tc-btn-invisible">

It seems the "title" field is filtered out, but the "tooltip" field works.
I'm not sure why this should be so, but it is. I'm using 5.1.11 at the
moment.

It would be great to get the hover states of the default Page Controls, but
that would be "icing"! I'm quite satisfied with the "cake" of being able to
create a Markdown tiddler with a click. :)

[tw] Re: Tag filter in Advanced Search - borked? or me?

Thank you, @Evolena - you nailed it! I should have spotted that in the
documention , but
wasn't eagle-eyed enough.

@Mat - I was about to copy, but in fact the formatting was as in my
original post (and spotted by Evolena).

Grateful for this help!

[tw] Tag filter in Advanced Search - borked? or me?

2014-10-13 Thread Davïd
I'm trying to get an AND result in a tag filter using the following, in the
"Filter" tab of $:/AdvancedSearch:

  [tag[tag1] tag[tag2]]

But, in spite of staring at a tiddler tagged exactly thus, I get "*0
matches*". Odd!

This also does NOT work:

   [tag[tag1] + tag[tag2]]

But, this does work:

  [tag[tag1]] [tag[tag2]]

Unfortunately, that's not the filtering I'm after!

I'm using TW 5.1.2 in latest Firefox (with plugin) on Ubuntu 14.04. Can
anyone replcate my problem? or have I missed something vital?
