2020-05-13 Thread Julio Peña
Hello David,

I hope you find yourself well. Hey, I was testing your work on my site.
One thing I decided to do was change the linked and unlinked icons as
it seems you used to existing icons for the editor toolbar. This was a tad
confusing to me.

So I went ahead and created two for that purpose:

$:/user/images/popup-link
$:/user/images/popup-unlink

If you go to the "Featured samples" tab you will find their respective
links there.

http://jpentw5.tiddlyspot.com/

If you find them usable...go grab them!

Blessings,
Julio

Hello Anne-Laure and all,

I hope I am understanding the question correctly, so forgive the intrusion.
This may not be an ideal solution, however, what I do is:

1. go to the page
2. right-click on page and click on "View Page Source"
3. Go look for my text in question
4. highlight tags and all and then copy/paste to my tiddlywiki

Its not pretty but it works fore me.

Hello Tony K and all,

@ Tony K: I must say that I really like how your work is progressing with
Drift.

Yes, as Saq said, I ran a little experiment the lazy way; just
threw one tiddlywiki into another to see how the best of both
worlds would look like:

When you first open it looks normal:

When on licks on the redirect(?) button...look below:

But then when you clock on one of the boxes:

Ouch...where did the button go?...see above.

All the best,
Julio

Ciao Josiah,

I'm assuming you answered my original post.
Yes, I have changed the STATUS to the first columns starting from the left.

Thanks for the suggestions!

Hm.come to think of it that IS true (for a selling point) and in
that case "Note Treks/ Note Trekker".

(Thinking out loud here)...I also figure one doesn't necessarily have to
stick by any antonym to Roam.
One can pick a unique name and then say something to the effect..."and btw
most (or all) of Roam's
capabilities are already present in this platform".

Anyhoo, let me not deviate, eagerly anticipating your finished product :)

Just musing,

Hey there,

@Birthe: For now I just use my Task-dates as a very basic journal of sorts
(in my off-line wikis),
Ever since I saw Jed's creation I was like this is it, I want to use it!
I can just click on the specific date and bingo just write.
And it's easier to keep track of specific dates.

Yeah, Birthe, like they say necessity is the mother of invention.
I had a couple of books I wanted to read over a couple of months and now I
can keep up with my books.
If it wasn't for all of you in the community and your ideas I wouldn't have
been able to motivate myself.

@Jed: Glad you like it...coming from some in the community who are
gurus...makes me feel good!

Hi there all,

On CJ's first point: yeah I'd also like the "TW Platform" name for the
product as a short name.

On CJ's second point: I'd like to see something along the lines of content
management (maybe I'm using
the wrong term, please forgive me if I am). As I see TiddlyWiki lends
itself strongly to the gathering
and manipulation of information.

So with this in mind: "TW Content Management Platform" or TiddlyWiki CMP
(?)

All the best,
Julio

2020-03-02 Thread Julio Peña
Hello all,

I'll try my best to phrase my thoughts.
I've already seen some name samples
thrown out there in the other thread.
All we have to do is keep those creative juices
flowing until we hit on something everyone agrees upon:)

In order to pick out a name one would
have to ponder the software (or platforms') attributes.

1. single html file
2. many plugins already available
3. adaptable to many environments
4. lively community
5. steady development for the foreseeable future
6. etc. [much more]

Those are just my thoughts.

I think TiddlyWiki is mature enough for a name change.
I would definitely support it.

On a personal level, however, name means nothing to me as I value
functionality over nomenclatures.

I mean, as it is TiddlyWiki, is already a great note taking software!

All the best,
Julio

Point 1: As long as it's for something technical, why not? Something like:
"Wikitek or Wiki Tech" (to steal from Mark's idea) perhaps?

Point 2: Personally I wouldn't see the downsides. On the technical side I
wouldn't know.

Point 3: Refer to Point 1.

Point 4: I'd second Adrian's statement on this one.

I hope my opinion may be of help.

Hey there Ste and TT,

I know also these guys have been putting out a French site with a
Tiddlywiki as its base.
According to them it's still the case: https://www.natura-lien.fr/

I've always found their layout interesting. Check it out when you have a
chance.
