Thanks Sylvain

I think the plugin from TobiBeer might work. At least it does with
Tiddler-titels and tags. Unfortunatelly my skills aren't good enough to
figure out how it works with fields.

[tw] Open a random Tiddler from a group with the same field?

2016-08-04 Thread peter . biewer
Hallo!

Is ist somehow possible to run a little script which draws me a random
tiddler, restricted by a group with equal field values?
I am using TiddlyDesktop with gtd5. And there is a long list of
"actions"-tiddlers (tiddlers with a field value "action").
Sometimes the mass of actions overwhelmed me so I did nothing. Now I hope
it is possible to let a script gives me a random task to start with.

Thank you!

Hi Jeremy

Your solution works for a while, but now I need to erase the folder
everytime I start TiddlyDesktop. Do you have a long term fix for me?

[tw] Re: [TW5] What is the exact syntax for an imported image in my custom stylesheet?

2016-04-29 Thread peter . biewer
Thanks Hegart for specifying my problems. I sometimes have trouble with
making a detailed call.

@Devin
I was hoping there would be an alternate to changing the type of the
tiddler to text/vnd.tiddlywiki because that messes up some stuff. In the
example for dataURI Example there is the macro $output="text/plain". It
would be nice to mark up the necessary part of my stylesheet so it will
render as vnd.text. The biggest confusion for me was the sentence in the
same Tiddler:

> If the example was in a CSS tiddler, you could simply write:
>
> background: url(<>);
>
> For me, or let me say from the eyes of a non coder, that does simply
allows me to copy this line in my stylesheet.
TiddlyWiki is quick and easy. And I love the idea of one single file which
included everything. I have only limited experience in writing and
understanding code. As soon as it comes to whirled languages I will see my
restrictions in understanding. But I am more one type of graphical person
which is the reason I try to alternate the looking so badly. In the
meantime I got a little peek into the matrix and I think I now understand
why it is not simple possible to add an imported picture to the stylesheet.
But shouldn't it be possibe? Guys don't get me wrong, the work everyone did
for tiddlywiki is amazing. Probably I just want to make a suggestion coming
from the minor side of a simple user.

 @Mat
Thanks for your forpeter tiddler ^^
Correct me if I'm wrong. You simply avoid my problem by adding a new
html-element to the tiddlers (if needed). You gave me a huge playground. If
thats work for my ideas that would be great. Again thank you!
I will post my experience and hopefully succes

2016-04-28 Thread peter . biewer
I am near desperation.
The last days I crawled through so many examples to find a solution. I
looked 1000 times on the documentation of DataURI, Macros and everything
what could help me in my misery. But I don't find the answer.
Fro my point of view at least one of the code-snipplets above should do
anything. But no. Ok, not completely. If I set the tiddler Type to
TiddlyWiki 5 (text/vnd.tiddlywiki) my background pictures are shown. But -
I don't know why - everything is a mess.
I love the de-facto completely free arrangements in TiddlyWiki, but I am
sad it wouldn't be for me.
Please Help

[tw] Re: [TW5] What is the exact syntax for an imported image in my custom stylesheet?

2016-04-25 Thread peter . biewer
Ok my call for the picture was completely wrong.

Thanks for your links. I found the dataURI page before but wasn't shure its
the right thing. Now I have the following line in my stylesheet:

background-image: url(<>);

It works, but only if the tiddler type is *not* css. Isn't this the
opposite of the last sentence of the example tiddler
? I might be wrong.
For me as a NonCoder the documentation is often hard to understand.
Is there a syntax for a css type? What exactly are the differences between
the one above and this one:

background: url(<$macrocall $name="datauri" title="Motovun Jack.jpg"
$output="text/plain"/>);

Nice you mention the tc-tagged method. This is my final goal. I have three
ribbons which should be triggered by a tag. Unfortunately I didn't get step
1 work in a pleasent way.
Is there a way to add an extra html element which works as a container for
the background image?
... I will do a short sketch

,

This will be the looking I have in mind. This color should appear if given
the tag "Ribbon_2". Then I want to add 1-2 more templates for other colors.

[tw] [TW5] What is the exact syntax for an imported image in my custom stylesheet?

2016-04-24 Thread peter . biewer
Hi folks

Probably a simple question:
I want to add a background image to my tiddlers and it should be done with
a stylesheet. The idea is to have some kind of a ribbon behind the title
and stuff. I imported an jpeg which is now a tiddler named
"Background.pattern-2.jpg". The plan is to size and repeat it after
embedding it to my stylesheet. So I wrote this

body.tc-body.tc-tiddler-frame{
 background:{{[img[Background.pattern-2.jpg]]}}
 }

I am pretty shure the syntax is wrong, but I tried different ones without
success.

Hi Mat,
Your Hooker Method is exactly what i am looking for.
Do you think it's possible to combine your hooked picture with some kind of
field and gave them a position which is defined in a stylesheet? As far as
I can see I would insert your code snipplet in every new Tiddler.
I would prefer a little automated generation. Similar to the icon-method, I
want to tag my pictogramms with lets say "Picto". While adding a new
Tiddler, I add a field "Picto : somepictogramm.png". So it should be
possible to create a Stylesheet for "Picto" with the coordinates top left
of the Tiddlers Title?

[tw] Re: Image before Tiddler possible?

2016-04-23 Thread peter . biewer
Ok, additional question:

I try to enlarge the Icon via Stylesheet. So I made a new Tiddler with the
Tag $:/tags/stylesheet and named it MyStylesheet
Then I searched the html tag and the css markings for the image. The
html-code looks like below.

How exactly do I write my Stylesheet. I tried several variations but
without any succes.
The red square in the picture below shows the position I would like the
most. I am not a html pro, but I am afraid that this isn't possible with
the embedding in the title container.
So am I right. With the default Stylesheet a tagged icon will always
position before the Tiddler-title? Does this mean I could define a new
field named "Pictogramm" and tag my Symbol with it. Then I need to add that
element to the tc-tiddler-frame container.

[tw] Re: Image before Tiddler possible?

2016-04-23 Thread peter . biewer
Hello again. It has been a while since my last post.
Unfortunatelly my TiddlyDesktop was a little bit broken before I could try
some of your advices.

I learned a lot about including pictures to tiddlers. But I am sorry so say
none of your tips gave me the appearance I was looking for. Adding Pictures
with the Icon tag was interesting, but at some point all the documentations
became like black magic to me. I often got very confusing because of the
mixture of different languages. I got the changes from tiddlywiki markup to
html language in the examples I found, but if it comes to
css/php...javascript??? I was out.

Nevermind. I figured out the most promising solution would be to create an
individual stylesheet. This video
(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jva7Azqu0hs) gave me the basics of how to
do it. But I don't know where to start.
The idea is to add a new div whith margin left before the tiddler-title.
But how can I create such a new element?
Is it possible to add the icon I want for the tiddler via a tag? Or maybe a
field? (What are fields. Some kind of variables?)

If someone is willing to help me a little, I am keen on getting that thing
done. If anybody has a individual stylesheet to share with me I would be
very gratefull.
;)

Hello Jeremy

I have problems with TiddlyDesktop. It worked fine some weeks ago but now
if I try to run the app I only see the Task in the Windows-Taskbar but
nothing else. I used the lastest TiddlyDesktop (Eight) release in
combination with your experimental text editor TiddlyWiki. It worked for
several weeks. Unfortunatelly I cannot reproduce what happened to break the
app.
It's possible to hover over the task. I can even activate it. If I hover

but again nothing happens (see picture)

any idea?

[tw] Image before Tiddler possible?

2016-03-31 Thread peter . biewer
Hello all!

I am fairly new to TiddlyWiki, but piece by piece I'm gettin into it.
There is one thing I would love to have in my personal Wiki. I use icons a
lot in my daily pc routine, so I am searching for a code sniplett or a
markup which alows me to add an image before the Tiddler text. Is this
possible?

Thanks a lot!!!
