Ok, I'm using linux and android. On linux no problem, simply using
tiddlydesktop to save my tw-file in the nextcloud in combination with the
linux desktop client of nextcloud. On android I'm out if luck. No success
with saving. Therefore the idea to save with webdav in the nextcloud. How
can this be achieved. I didn't found any hint in the tw documentation. Only
the sentence that it should work nothing else.

Alright I can install seafile on my raspi. It supports webdav. I'm running 
Debian Stretch with nextcloud. It supports webdav too. If there is a way to 
save a one—file—tiddlywiki with the build in save mechanism via webdav, this 
would really be a great feature. After reading all the posts in this thread. It 
seems to me that this funktionality does not work  or does not even exist. Am I 
wrong?

Seriously after reading this thread I was considering installing NextCloud 
to get a few more features than running jsut Apache mod_dav. Now I know not 
to do that.

Could you configure nextcloud 12, in a way, that you can server TWs with 
it, from a WebDav directory? ... I did look at version 10 and it wasn't 
possible. So I didn't do any further investigations with saving.

nextcloud doesn't allow PUT saves for security reasons. You'll need to read

Not sure really about how cast ironly secure it is... But it's the only thing 
on my pi and I have it backed up so.. 

I had to forward the bob broadcast port to port 80 on the router and then the 
dns server points http://stephenteacher.uk.to to my hope ip.

And no one but me looks at it! :)

Hi Stefan,

I did have a closer look at WebDav possibilities with nextcloud. .. The 
problem here is, that they do support WebDav to connect other computers as 
a "remote harddisk". .. BUT they don't serve HTML TWs which uses PUT 
commands, to save back changes, for security reasons.

I cant agree with "on android there is only the buggy and outdated 
andtidwiki" because you can use Termux and then any nodeJS based TiddlyWiki 
and Noteself also works well. 

I am just setting the record strait for any future readers of this thread.

I think that being able to deliver TiddlyWiki on raspberry pi in an easy 
package could do a lot to promote TiddlyWiki to the maker and education 
sectors. We could build a suitable edition that also supports common 
activities on a "raspberry pi".

Have you looked at Bob ? Search the forum or 
https://github.com/OokTech/TW5-Bob

I'm pretty sure Jed said one of the reasons for developing Bob was that it 
put less strain on his Raspberry pi server.
