[time-nuts] Datum TS-2100 firmware updating
As a first post I thought I'd share a success story. After a lot of flailing about the magic combination to upgrade a TS-2100 from old/ROM firmware appears to be to ensure the line endings on the file match that of the TFTP host. While it is twitchy about ethernet as long as there's no contention it's probably fine. Serial updates I just couldn't make work. Up next is to convert the darn thing to Rubidium, like it was meant to be when I purchased it (insert rant here). Other toys are a TrueTime XL-DC and Trimble Palisade, along with a TrueTime IRIG-B display. HI Julien, Do you have a detailed info, docu about the TrueTime XL-DC?? I have 2ea of this unit and one is not going to lock... Any experience or help appreciated. Rgds Ernie. There's a fair amount of info on the XL-DC on the web. I assume your problem is that it's not getting GPS lock? Is it getting ANY GPS data? Hi, Ok, I have the info from the web but it is not too much. I got GPS data but seems to me that the ECF is out of limit? and the digital word is not changing...frozen but sometime very seldom it is locked properly after tickling a few hrs.then no luck for the next few weeks I have the original active antenna with about 46dB gain and the GPS is OK but the digital control part has problem. Check the on-board battery. It may not be up to spec. Good luck on changing it ...
