Re: This week's ep

Most clip shows just come across as Well, we HAD to make an extra episode, so we might as well do this kinda shows. Not so with this one. Instead of showing Leo's shining moments from the show, they made new clips of the guys as kids (now wouldn't that make a cute series? Ninja Turtle Kids G). I know it! I thought the child turtles were *adorable*! It would have been neat to see the whole April writes in her journal scene from the comics, but I still felt as though this had a Miragey type feel, which I totally love. This week's episode had some moments but was a little predictable. Gee, Mike got out of his Green Man costume almost immediately, but not so with Casey...gee, they're not going to somehow get Casey caught by the Crocodile...err...Monster Hunter and have him discredit her, are they? The Leo/Raph moments were good, though...and I did get a kick out of April asking Splinter for help in learning meditation to help deal with Casey - Some things, even meditation cannot help. Heh. Yes, it was definitely predictable. Still, I DID laugh in places. I like how Splinter chuckled after April kicked Casey out of the house. The biggest disappointment with this ep, though, came at the very end. Yay! Leo's back! That was good. But...they're just going back to New York? No build up? No fight in the barn? Aw! I had the same reaction! I was SO hoping to see that barn fight! That would have been awesome. Maybe they felt it was a bit TOO violent for the kiddies...? Though they wouldn't have necessarily had to end it with Raph throwing Leo through the wall (though I admit, I was really hoping we'd see that). Oh well...still, overall, I am totally impressed with this new series. To me, it has a real Mirage feel, which is great. That IS my favorite TMNT universe after all. :) Dawnatello

Yeah, the rugrat turtles were definitely cute. Yes, it was definitely predictable. Still, I DID laugh in places. I like how Splinter chuckled after April kicked Casey out of the house. Oh yeah, not saying I hated the ep or anything...it just didn't 'do it' for me as much as most of the other eps did. After the ep where Raph almost clobbers Mike, I had such high hopes for the Return To New York fight. They've been doing such a great job of sticking close to the Mirage universe, so far... Oh well...still, overall, I am totally impressed with this new series. To me, it has a real Mirage feel, which is great. That IS my favorite TMNT universe after all. :) Agreed on both counts. There's just enough humour so that it's not totally dark, but it doesn't have the Cowabunga, let's eat pizza feel of the original cartoon. This Shredder really means business...he'd have killed Bebop Rocksteady within the first two eps in this show. The flashbacks were so cool, especially Mike's! This week's episode had some moments but was a little predictable. Gee, Mike got out of his "Green Man" costume almost immediately, but not so with Casey...gee, they're not going to somehow get Casey caught by the Crocodile...err...Monster Hunter and have him discredit her, are they? I thought it was cute for a stand-alone episode, and the part with the monster turning out to be a mommy was so cute! The only thing that I thought was weird is how the Monster Hunter looked way too much like a guy. She must have some kinda hormonal imbalance. The biggest disappointment with this ep, though, came at the very end. Yay! Leo's back! That was good. But...they're just going back to New York? No build up? No fight in the barn? Aw! I think the main reason Raph and Leo didn't get into a fight was because Raph already vented out his frustrations and decided to be more compassionate towards his brother.
