Running CGI via a servlet sounds dreadfully slow, though, especially if it has to do something like start up a Perl interpreter, unless someone creates mod_jperl or something. :-) This thread just goes to prove the old mailing list/newsgroup adage, the best way to get responses is to post incorrect information :-). Tomcat mod_jk: jsp pages don't display the first time invoked
Hi all, I just lately replaced mod_jserv with mod_jk as Tomcat plug in in Apache. It works ok except one thing: for some of my jsp pages, the first time invoking them will not get the page displayed. Instead, I get a "page not exist" error. However, if you go back and hit refresh, then the right page will display. This only happens after we switched from mod_jserv to mod_jk. I am sure this is configuration issue, I just can't pin point the problem. Can somebody help me on this? Thank you in advance. I am also new to mod_jk, but I think if you are running NT, you don't load mod_jk.c. What you need is mod_jk.dll. I could be wrong though. Like I said, I am new too. Hi, We are now running Apache mod_jserv Tomcat and would like to know about mod_jk. Can someone points me to the direction where I should start? such as where I can find doc about mod_jserv, what it does and who to install, etc. Will mod_jk replace mod_jserv? Newbie in mod_jk: Can Apache starts Tomcat automatically?
I am totally new to mod_jk. Right now we are running Apache mod_jserv Tomcat. What we do is that we have Apache start Tomcat automatically when Apache starts. We make this happen by setting "ApJServManual off" in Tomcat.conf and making use of Tomcat.properties file. I wonder if there is also a way, with mod_jk, that you can have Apache start Tomcat automatically? Thank you in advance. RE: setting the classpath for a webapp
For EJB classes though, its a little different. EJBs have to be hosted and started from within their container. You need to provide path when you start the container. Simply put the classes, or Jar, into WEB-INF/... won't work.
