Hi -- Thank you Jake! The http://jakarta.apache.org/commons/daemon/procrun.html web page did the trick. It describes the registry parameters and changing the 'Java' to the full path of jre.dll will change the JVM. (I had come close -- I was changing it to the path of java.exe, which did not work). I still haven't figured out what the default JVM is, but at least I can change it if I need to. I've searched through the registry using regedit far and wide, and I have seen some of the tomcat parameters, both under SOFTWARE and under SERVICES, but none of them refer to a path to the JDK, and there is no entry that says JVM... There is a 'Java' key with Data of 'java'. Could be system PATH be used? My issues were not due to different JDK's, so I will table this for now, but I'm still curious as to how the path is determined.
