In TortoiseMerge ignore line endings on the fly
Hi, Depending on the way a file finds its way to you, it may have different line endings. In TortoiseMerge you can set the compare behavior for this in the settings, but this is cumbersome and permanent. Why not (additionally) a direct way to change the behavior, like with "Compare whitspaces" etc.? Depending on the setting, TortoiseMerge reports that the file is identical except for the line endings. But if there is another difference, only that one is shown concisely. The meta information for the files in the lower right corner is usually ignored. Why opening a dev tool when double klicking a file in SVN Update log dialog
Hi, For example, when I select a revision in the SVN Show Log dialog and then double-click a file, I get the TortoiseMerge dialog. Why does an editor/dev tool open when I double click a file in the SVN Update dialog? Is this the way it is supposed to be? You could also display TortoiseMerge. Whether the old version then corresponds to the effective overwritten version or to the last committed version remains to be seen. Project Monitor graphic issue in the files pane
Hi If there are many files displayed in the files panel (right bottom panel) in the Project Monitor, the scroll bar will appear. If you then scroll down, a little bit of the status bar is moved with it. As example TSVN r29391: [image: 2022-06-01 15_09_37-TortoiseSVN Project Monitor.png] [image: 2022-06-01 15_10_17-TortoiseSVN Project Monitor.png] Used versions: TortoiseSVN 1.14.3, Build 29387 - 64 Bit , 2022/04/08 19:31:22 Microsoft Windows [Version 10.0.19043.1586] Just noticed: In the revsions panel (right top panel) there is also a graphics issue. If the Message column is adjusted so that the horizontal scroll bar disappears, the content of the newly visible row is not completely updated. Project Monitor generate many temp files
Hello, Today I was looking for a file in the Windows temp directory (AppData\Local\Temp\). I found it, but there were also a lot of svnXXX.tmp files. Since about 16 hours one is written every minute. A handful of older temp files are also still there. In total there are currently 980 such files. I have installed TortoiseSVN-1.14.99.29503-dev-x64-svn-1.14.dev.msi on Win10. In the Project Monitor "Monitor intervalls" are set to 30 or 120 minutes. Three projects show an exclamation mark. One has "Access forbidden", for the others I don't know the reason (one of them is https://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/subversion/trunk). -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "TortoiseSVN" group. Re: Project Monitor: Changing the URL does not always work
Hi Daniel Thank you for this solution. Always nice for a developer to see how a small change can make a big difference. My subject probably obscures the real cause, but I think my MonitoringData snippet was able to give a hint. Also, for the other thread. I have installed the nightly build r29490 and tested it. The first impression was good (all exclamation marks disappeared). But the solution is not completely clean. If the URL is incorrect, the exclamation mark appears after "Check Now". When the erroneous entry is selected, it disappears again until the next "Check Now". However, in the right window you can always see the concrete error message, which differs if the hostname or the path of the URL is wrong. If it is worth to work on it again, is not up to me. The current solution is better in any case. Greetings ~ Andreas daniel.l...@gmail.com schrieb am Montag, 5. Re: Project Monitor: Changing the URL does not always work
Yes, this issue is only indirectly related. You were already busy again. I just tested the nightly r29503. Unfortunately, the problem does not seem to be fundamentally fixed yet. As soon as I click on a project that has an exclamation mark because the path is invalid (forbidden in my case), it disappears. Only with "Check Now" or the new "Check project now" (very nice!) it appears again. *Just noticed (svn 1.14/1.15):File name: TortoiseSVN-1.14.99.29503-dev-x64-svn-1.14.dev.msiVersion Information:- TortoiseSVN 1.14.99, Build 29503 - 64 bit -dev, 2022/12/15 21:35:33- Subversion 1.15.0, -dev* Greetings ~ Andreas daniel.l...@gmail.com schrieb am Sonntag, 11. Project Monitor: Changing the URL does not always work
Dear TortoisSVN team My company moved all SVN repos to a new server and updated them. A relocate for all local directories became necessary. In the project monitor I also changed the new URL and the authentication. Unfortunately this did not work in all cases. However, deleting and recreating worked. I could now reproduce this again by changing a URL (a '2' added) and setting it back again. In the temporary file the following is written (abbreviated): [item_017] lastErrorMsg=
