Re: [SlimDevices: Touch] Coax Connections
John, It should just work. Which $200 DAC do you have? Are there any lights on it to indicate lock status of the various data rates? If so, what do you observe on those lights? Are there multiple inputs to select the on the DAC for various input connections? Are you sure you have selected the correct one? Can you swap to using IR Toshlink cable instead of coax as a diagnostic step? Does your receiver have a digital input you could use to test the Touch's digital output (either coax or IR)? Sorry, but its hard to know whats going on at your end without more information. dsdreamer's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=12588 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=95864 ___ Touch mailing list Touch@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
Re: [SlimDevices: Touch] Async USB Dac Experiments - testers wanted...
I'm really tempted to order a Ref 5.2 so I can hook up my Touch directly via EDO/USB instead of getting a converter for my current EE Minimax DAC. I'm just wondering if there is a lot to be gained soundwise over Touch's S/PDIF with TT3.0. Can it rival with a good USB converter connected directly to a PC? What I'm aiming for is a "meatier" sound than I'm currently experiencing but the thought of buying yet another DAC only to end up with a marginal improvement is what's holding me back. [SlimDevices: Touch] Coax Connections
I have a new Touch, and it runs the latest OP. I have had it set up to run directly from the Touch to the my receivor using the analogue outs. I also have a $200 DAC and I thought I would experiment with a 75 ohm coax cable (with the RCA plugs) from the Touch to my DAC and then to the receivor, using the the analogue outs from the DAC to the receivor. All I get is silence. I have checked the DAC and it works well with my net computer, with USB connection to the DAC, and analogue outs to the receivor. Are there some software changes to be made of which I am unaware? Or is this a problem with the Touch? Or have I made some errors? johnreid johnreid's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=20273 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=95864 ___ Touch mailing list Touch@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch

I found that one of the settings in the audiowidget was wrong. It works now normally in UAC2 mode. I will check later if UAC1 works now (I suspect it will). I assume you've added last.fm as an app to your myapps (from app gallery), and then in the myapps webpage listing, you've entered your settings (name and password) for last.fm. garym's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17325 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=95654 ___ Touch mailing list Touch@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch

I installed TT3.0, changed priorities in tt file to logiotech default, then installed EDO. I will try uninstalling TT and reinstall EDO alone. Could this be an issue in the hub or DAC? lake_eleven's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=48979 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=94512 ___ Touch mailing list Touch@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch

Re: [SlimDevices: Touch] How to change last.fm password?
Thanks! I failed to mention that I was trying to avoid installing/running LMS. With the Squeezebox Touch I was after a simple networked player that could hook into Spotify/Deezer/USB hard drive/etc without the need for running a computer (i.e. LMS). Anyway, I ran the test as suggested and it half worked. When I'm connected via LMS it scrobbles, but as soon as I switch it off and go back to MySqueezebox.com it doesn't work. Very odd. I don't understand why there are unnecessary hoops just for changing a simple password... What I'd like to do long-press my scrobbling username (under Squeezebox Touch/Settings/Advanced/Last.fm Audioscrobbler) and then have the option to change its password. That seems to make sense to me anyhow. aweller's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=6781 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=95654 ___ Touch mailing list Touch@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch

Yes, using USB on Touch means you have disconnected from LMS server on your NAS. Looks like LMS & Twonky are trying to access the same ports. Try disabling Twonky for a few days to see if LMS works fine then. toby10's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=12553 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=95851 ___ Touch mailing list Touch@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch

Re: [SlimDevices: Touch] Announce: Enhanced Digital Output app - USB Dac and 192k Digital Ouput
Hi triode and lake_eleven. I seem to have a similar problem with my setup. SB Touch with EDO Powered USB hub AudioWidget with pcm5102 DAC from Yoyodyne Consulting by George Bouderau. O2 When running the DAC in UAC2 mode the SQ is fine but the SBT decides to output the 44.1khz media at 48khz. Never heard Mark Knopfler sound so young and brisk :-) In UAC1 mode there are pops and sparkles but the rate is right. Connecting the ODAC (no 24/192) gives a good SQ in UAC1 mode... Hmmm, my feeling is that the SBT and the DAC doesn't fully understand eachother. Any suggestions?
