I went directly to my Squeezebox Touch, then the TIDAL app and it was
limited. I think this suggests some problem between my SB Touch and
TIDAL. I'm growing suspicious about a new DSL router I installed
recently...or maybe some setting in my Apple Time Capsule WiFi.

Thanks so much Michael. One clarification: When I first used the new
MySB Tidal app, I noticed the "Streaming Quality" selection and set it
for FLAC or MP3. As a premium TIDAL user, is FLAC quality streaming
without any further setting adjustments to my SB Touch units?

Our implementation defaults to the best quality available to the user.

2015-12-20 Thread Michael Herger

Ok, what's the story behind Logitech's freeing up resources to build the
TIDAL app at MySqueezebox.com? I figured this was a dead issue.

It's Logitech's commitment to keep the Squeezebox/SmartRadio alive for
existing users. Part of this is updating the code when needed. A few
months ago I was contacted by WiMP/Tidal as well as Spotify people about
their intent to shut down existing systems we were still using. In order
to keep our implementations alive we had to make some steps forward. If
already we had to move on to the new Tidal API to keep existing WiMP
users happy, we could as well launch Tidal for all customers.

If this is a problem you're only seeing on iPeng, then you might want to
get in touch with pippin. He might be able to give you and me some
background information about why this might be failing.

Not sure this thread was worth bringing back - it should really be in
the "audiophile" section. For anything digital, a well-designed SMPS is
a much better solution than a linear supply.

So, here's my reoccurring problem which I thought should have resolved
when I connected to TIDAL via MySqueezebox.com or via LMS 7.8.1 running
on my MacBook Pro. My TIDAL libraries via looking through TIDAL's apps
are complete. But when I access using the iPeng app (via LMS on two
different computer OR via Logitech's server platform they are
incomplete. Why?

I did recently install a new DSL router. Could the router be blocking
some communication?
