[Touch-packages] [Bug 1279898] Re: New keyboard layout for Albanian
I would find an alternative keyboard also for Hungarian very useful. Non native speakers cannot imagine how uncomfortable the official layouts are; eg accented characters are much more important than q, w or even c. I suggest making a user configurable keyboard or giving a detailed description for making own layouts (without using launchpad, creating new branches and so on). Thanks. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to xkeyboard-config in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1279898 Title: New keyboard layout for Albanian Status in xkeyboard-config package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: I would like to have at least one alternative keyboard layout for the Albanian language provided as a distro update or as part of future releases of Linux distros. The "official" Albanian layout is somewhat inadequate and highly unpopular among Albanian users. For that reason, I have created and published two alternative layouts that take into account the market in Albanian-speaking countries (dominated by US mechanical keyboards) and user preferences (for a layout similar to the US model). You may find more information about the layout on Wikipedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Albanian_keyboard_layout#Plisi) or on my Albanian-language website (http://www.plisi.al/softwer/tastiera- plisi-d) where you may also download the installation files. [Touch-packages] [Bug 1238823] Re: Location lookup failing for Lafayette, Indiana, USA
I use my bq 4.5 in Budapest, Hungary, but when I am at home it usually says I am in Miskolc (Hungary, 180 km/110 miles from Budapest). Pretty surely it is working from ip based geolocation databases: I have had the same ip address months ago and a large part of geolocation webpages (but less than a half of them) says this ip address belongs to Miskolc. Of course it is not the mistake of Ubuntu Touch developers, but there should be an option saying: "this ip address does not belong to the said location, do not use this source/use another sources" -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to location-service in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1238823 Title: Location lookup failing for Lafayette, Indiana, USA Status in location-service package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: In the weather app when I ask for a location, I consistently get Potwin, Kansas, which is over 1000 km away from my current location in Lafayette, Indiana. When I go to a mapping page in the browser and it asks for my location, it says no location could be determined. The clock app doesn't seem to look up my location correctly either, but that may be unrelated. [Touch-packages] [Bug 1215373] Re: [Address book] Order contact by first name or last name first
I have >1500 contacts imported from gmail; many of them (unfortunately not all) are correctly tagged by First name and Last name (eg First name is Adam, Last name is Smith) All of these names are sorted by First name: Adam Smith in at the beginning of the list. Is it by design? I find it very annoying... Anyway, thank for the developers. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to address-book-app in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1215373 Title: [Address book] Order contact by first name or last name first Status in Ubuntu UX bugs: Triaged Status in address-book-app package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: Design to provide a way to order contacts by First name Last name, and Last name First name (eg possibly through app's setting).
