[Touch-packages] [Bug 1364487] Re: unable to make emergency call
There's actually a list of emergency numbers defined for each Country. I suppose we could just use the first number in the list to pre-populate this, but I'll leave it to the app guys to determine what should be done here... -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to dialer-app in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1364487 Title: unable to make emergency call Status in “dialer-app” package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: Further to reporting bug 1364482 I know see that in fact I cannot make an emergency call without unlocking the phone. [Touch-packages] [Bug 1364487] Re: unable to make emergency call
Ah - I see how this works now... By emergency call, we really mean only that. It appears you can only dial a recognised emergency number. 911 and 999 both enable the green icon. In which case, please can we consider either: 1) pre-populating the number field with the country-specific emergency number, or 2) implementing one of the ideas on bug 1364482 ... since currently, if you are abroad and don't happen to know the local emergency number (or worse our hard-coded list is incorrect) you're in trouble.
