[Touch-packages] [Bug 1510250] Re: screen comes on without interaction
I have seen this again yesterday and today, I only see it on arale and only when it was actively charging In the last case the messaging app was the last active app, dialer and camera were also running The phone does turn screen off on its on I previously suspected the camera somehow but could not purposely reproduce it -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to unity-system-compositor in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1510250 Title: screen comes on without interaction Status in Canonical System Image: Confirmed Status in powerd: New Status in unity-system-compositor package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: Pat and I just discussing. [Touch-packages] [Bug 1510250] Re: screen comes on without interaction
I've witnessed this so often on the N7, i'm confident in saying - no running apps (just dash), b/c i often have just flashed the device, become distracted with other work, and left it sitting - and notice it light up. It always autodims in ~1min, i suspect the inactivity timer. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to unity-system-compositor in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1510250 Title: screen comes on without interaction Status in Canonical System Image: Confirmed Status in powerd: New Status in unity-system-compositor package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: Pat and I just discussing. [Touch-packages] [Bug 1510250] Re: screen comes on without interaction
I'll try to reproduce this locally using the upcoming USC version with more logging ([1]). Hopefully the USC logs along with the powerd logs will give us some more information about what is going on. [Touch-packages] [Bug 1510250] Re: screen comes on without interaction
Also, two questions: 1. Do you remember if there are any apps running (perhaps in the background) when you see this? 2. Does the screen stay on forever after it turns on, or do they inactivity timeouts eventually turn the screen off again? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to unity-system-compositor in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1510250 Title: screen comes on without interaction Status in Canonical System Image: Confirmed Status in powerd: New Status in unity-system-compositor package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: Pat and I just discussing.
