Quick response; use DreamyTrac, it's relatively straight-forward. [Trac] memory usage with trac 0.11
Hello, I recently (about a month or so ago) upgraded to from trac 0.11 to trac 0.11 and memory usage has gone through the roof. I have tried using various configuration options but cant get the memory usage down... I run the trac site on a VPS machine with 256Mb or RAM which was fine (mod_python) before but now (at the moment I use tracd) the process easily consumes several hundred Mb of RAM which is, as you can understand, less then ideal. That's one of the drawback of using Genshi (in replacement of ClearSilver): the memory footprint is higher, and there is little you can do to reduce this. Trac 0.11 can run with 256MB - I manage to run it on a QNAP device that is powered with an ARMv5 CPU :-) but AFAICT you'll need more memory to run Trac and make it snappy. If i remember correctly, this {{{ }}} trick works for small sentences only. If a line is longer than the screen then you can't see it, you'll have to move the horizontal scrollbar to the right. What I would like to know is if it's possible to have the whole trac to behave like a common text editor regarding the linebreaks. best, Thomas Jeff Hammel wrote: What about {{{ this text might have line breaks but its preformatted }}} or are you not looking for preformatted text? [Trac] Re: svn commit list per ticket
I don't understand how to do this very well ... is it documented in detail somewhere in cyberspace-land ? I don't know how/if/where the commit hook scripts in the /contrib directory are documented. However, AFAIR, it's quite easy to understand how to use them if your read the comment lines located at the top of the scripts. (I use my own ones that have been derivated 4 years ago from these contributed scripts).
