[Trac] Re: Multiple projects with Trac and Resources management

2009-09-21 Thread Choopong C.
Hi,

Firstly, thank you so much for your answers and so sorry about my unclear
questions.

1. Currently, I'm using AccountManagerPlugin and store user/pass in htpasswd
file format. So, I can share this file for every projects.
But with my understand, the access control list data will store inside
project database?
Is it possible to share it? e.g I would like to add someone as developer to
every projects. how do I?

2. The resources management is about managing human resources.
I would like to know work load of each resource, who will be free soon, the
gantt chart.
Currently, I'm using TimingAndEstimationPlugin and RoadmapHoursPlugin but
I'm looking more plugins, configuration, or report query to answer above
requirement.

Please advise.

Cheers,
Choopong.

I do not think it can be easily shared. I have created a script
(windoze batch file) to configure default groups and assign default
users to groups for new environments. You could do something similar to
use trac_admin across all your repositories.

 2. The resources management is about managing human resources.

I highly doubt it.  I never do this and wish that Trac didn't allow
this, actually.  Again, if you can make this work, without breaking the
normal use case, I'd be happy to include.

No, I'm mystified.  I haven't seen this behaviour before.

Well, then seems there's no hope :(

 /me thinking

what could be wrong with d ticket ?
could it be that repos hook are not really executing the plugin's script ?
how could I check that ?

What I do is run the command given in the post-commit hook by hand and check
the output. If that doesn't work, I would throw in a pdb.

I don't know how I could reproduce, though.

Cant help u here so far, let's c what I can find in the next days.

Is this on unix or windows?  I've only tried unix.

Yes I know, in this case is Mr Windows 2k3 (should I upgrade to Vista
 ? XD ) .

Can't advise you there. I don't know windows and haven't tested the plugin on
windows.

I just asked because perhaps somebody had experienced
 something like that , but it doesn't seem so ... it's a shame: plug-in
 seems to be great

However, my trac site can still see the repository!

Then this is an SVN/Apache problem, and not a Trac problem. My guess
would be that you're not using SVNParentPath correctly, but it's hard
to say without more details.

[Trac] Re: Trac and Perforce

2009-09-21 Thread jon

I take from the absence of responses on my post that:

1. This functionality isn't robust enough.
2. Nobody uses Perforce here ;-)

Ah well, I'll have to look down other avenues. Thanks!

So far, it seems like they talk but I keep running into the maxrow

How do I tell Trac to only sync one view? The documentation for the
plugin seems to indicate it's going to sync the whole repo, which I
 definitely don't want to do.

 Thanks in advance,

It definitely isn't frequently used. I think the best (and probably only)
reference you will find is to read the code of the plugin.

[Trac] Re: random Trac email notification lost

2009-09-21 Thread gao jason
Thanks for your reply, Noah! And sorry for my late response, I just came
back from a lng teambuilding.

Now I'm focusing on the error gaierror: (-2, 'Name or service not known')
which come from the trac.log recently, and I believe this is the root cause
of my random email lost issue.
I tried http://trac.edgewall.org/ticket/8244 and then
http://trac.edgewall.org/changeset/1343, but there is not much value
informaition I need.

Below are more detailed log:
=
2009-09-21 10:15:16,180 Trac[main] DEBUG: Dispatching Request POST
u'/ticket/80'
2009-09-21 10:15:16,225 Trac[web_ui] ERROR: Failure sending notification on
change to ticket #80: gaierror: (-2, 'Name or service not known')
2009-09-21 10:15:16,225 Trac[web_ui] DEBUG: Side effect for
ConfigurableTicketWorkflow
=
2009-09-21 11:56:12,674 Trac[web_ui] ERROR: Failure sending notification on
creation of ticket #92: gaierror: (-2, 'Name or service not known')
2009-09-21 11:56:12,680 Trac[main] DEBUG: Dispatching Request GET
u'/ticket/92'
=
gaierror: (-2, 'Name or service not known')

I suspect this is related to DNS, right? Please advise and help, thanks all.
