[twitter-dev] Strange behavior for updates starting with DM
Hello, fellow developers, I was talking to my friend Nilton (@nilton_jr) about the lack of a group DM feature, so I was tried to post a tweet starting with DM em grupo (Portuguese for group DM) and I noticed that the tweet wasn't posted. Tweetdeck says Update successful and Twitter for the iPhone doesn't display any error message at all. I wonder if this is a bug like the auto follow bug from last year [1]. This probably isn't the best channel to report this kind of bug, but I'm sure you guys can forward this to the right team. Thanks in advance, FK @knorrium [1] http://en.webrazzi.com/2010/05/10/bug-make-anyone-follow-you-on-twitter/ -- Twitter developer documentation and resources: https://dev.twitter.com/doc API updates via Twitter: https://twitter.com/twitterapi Issues/Enhancements Tracker: https://code.google.com/p/twitter-api/issues/list Change your membership to this group: https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/twitter-development-talk
Re: [twitter-dev] TweetDeck joins Twitter
I just wish Twitter would focus on the features the users want, rather than spending money buying Twitter clients. Some are really simple like raising the number of lists you can create, an url shortener on the web interface, tweet to groups, etc. Or the really useful feature that is searching for tweets older than one week. But oh well, you can't demand features from a free service, anyway. When Tweetie became part of the Twitter family the user growth was huge, creating more opportunities for developers to build applications for the growing audience. With TweetDeck now joining us we expect to see even more opportunities become available to you and look forward to seeing what you create. TweetDeck is a powerful platform for brands, publishers and advanced Twitter users, and we’re really excited that Iain and his team are joining us. We’re looking forward to working with them as we invest and support the TweetDeck that you all are familiar with. [twitter-dev] Exposing IP addresses for legal threats
Hello everyone, Although this is probably not the best list to discuss this, perhaps you guys have some experience to share. A friend of mine is being threated by a Twitter user via DMs and public messages. He doesn't know the identity of the user and thought about tracking him via the IP he uses to post to Twitter. The API does not expose IP addresses, does it? He lives in Brazil and believed he could contact the ISP to track the user, since filing an international lawsuit to Twitter asking for this information and only then contact the ISP would be very time and money consuming. Re: [twitter-dev] Exposing IP addresses for legal threats
Hello, John Thank you very much for the information and excuse me again for bringing this question to the development list. People think they can hide behind an alias but it doesn't really work that way anymore :) FK On Tue, Jan 4, 2011 at 4:19 PM, John Adams j...@twitter.com wrote: On Tue, Jan 4, 2011 at 6:39 AM, Felipe Knorr Kuhn fkn...@gmail.com wrote: Hello everyone, Although this is probably not the best list to discuss this, perhaps you guys have some experience to share.
