[twitter-dev] Tweet Button Not working.
Hello. Anyone GENIUSES here knows how to fix the tweet button using shift_jis charcter encoding on Mozilla Firefox. Some of our data using shift_jis encoding.. But the tweet button seems to be not working. I tried to change shift_jis to UTF-8 and it works well on different browser... Thanks in advance guys :)... -- Twitter developer documentation and resources: https://dev.twitter.com/doc API updates via Twitter: https://twitter.com/twitterapi Issues/Enhancements Tracker: https://code.google.com/p/twitter-api/issues/list Change your membership to this group: https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/twitter-development-talk
[twitter-dev] Tweet button not working with a 'localhost' data-url?
Hi, I'm currently testing the tweet button for our website. When I test the button locally and want to share a link in the form of 'http://localhost:8080/somepath/image.jpg' its says that the 'url' param is invalid. But when I test it on a 'real' server (like example.com) the button does work. The data-url attribures are dynamically generated, which means if the file was on 'example.com' instead of 'localhost' the link would be 'http://example.com/somepath/image.jpg' Can anyone confirm that share does not work with 'localhost' as data- url? Thanks, Olivier. -- Twitter developer documentation and resources: http://dev.twitter.com/doc API updates via Twitter: http://twitter.com/twitterapi Issues/Enhancements Tracker: http://code.google.com/p/twitter-api/issues/list Change your membership to this group: http://groups.google.com/group/twitter-development-talk
Re: [twitter-dev] Tweet button not working with a 'localhost' data-url?
http://localhost is not a shareable URL so this error is expected. Instead, if you need to test things locally you might want to add a development domain name into your computers hosts file instead. Re: [twitter-dev] Tweet button not working with a 'localhost' data-url?
Why would you want to generate a link that would only work for you? Just accept that it will not work and you'll be fine ;-) Tom On 10/6/10 10:29 PM, Olivier K wrote: Hi, I'm currently testing the tweet button for our website. Re: [twitter-dev] Tweet Button Not Working
Hi Bruce, Glad to hear it worked. We've seen this problem with iWeb but don't have a better solution than data-url at the moment. If we do find a way we'll update the documentation and let everyone know. Best, Matt On Fri, Aug 27, 2010 at 11:36 PM, Bruce Aguilar bruce...@gmail.com wrote: I think that may have worked. In fact, deleting it from the address does bring up the page correctly. I have selected the Tweet Button to post the url for the page that it's posted on and not a custom url. Is this an incompatibility with iWeb? Any help would be appreciated.
