Windows 8 is great. Well I'm in australia this week installing a windows server 2012, exchange 2013 network with windows 8 workstaions, scripts piles of patches and a secure vpn tunnel to Utah for Unidata accessto their database. [U2] UniVerse Install on HP-Ux
1. I am having some problems trying to get to first base. 2. There is this cpio command. 3. Is it necessary to install from a CD or DVD? 4. I would rather install from FTP'd files. 5. Mounting the media is a hassle... so is CDFS on a DVD. 6. It may be basic troubleshooting, but it was a good catch. I hadn't considered that when I posted. This has gone on through 3 mice, though, 1 Logitech and 2 different Microsoft. I really doubt that's the problem. One never knows, though. I've seen stranger things. Troubleshooting is a rare skill, and you obviously have it, Milt.
