Re: [U2] Unusual code
Our system does the 1=Y, 2=N thing too. It is so that folks who are keying on the keypad all day can stay on the keypad as much as possible without having to go look for the Y or N keys. Keeps up productivity. Or at least that is the theory. I've tried the following arguments with no luck: I'd go with the savedlists files are functionally equivalent to the \temp directory in Windows. It needs to be cleaned up periodically. RE: [U2] UniObjects for Java Unnamed Common Corruption
Behalf Of Sean W Ferguson I have recently encountered a very strange UniObjects bug. I have an application that includes a file containing unnamed commons. The application calls a subroutine that also includes that same unnamed common. In my experience unnamed commons tend to get a bit testy if there are any statements in a program/process before the commons and b) if they are first utilized in a subroutine but not in the calling program. My guess is that the behavior you are running is equivalent to calling numerous subroutines (the UniObjects process itself) and then your subroutine. (Or maybe UniObjects uses an unnamed common somewhere...) - jmh --- u2-users mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe please visit http://listserver.u2ug.org/

I'll give it a whirl in my speedtest program and see which is more efficient!!! Be prepared to be impressed! It's amazing how much faster REMOVE can be in certain circumstances. I had one routine that was taking 5-10 minutes to run on a large dynamic array. I changed it to use REMOVE and it ran in under 30 seconds. Simply wonderful. I just wish it wasn't called REMOVE.
