[Bug 60000] Re: Deskbar applet crashed
I can reproduce this bug on Edgy, too. Deskbar crashes relatively often when entering the GNOME session. The only visible feedback about the crash is the bug reporter telling me that the deskbar applet has crashed. Other than that, the applet works as expected even after a crash. I've attached a compressed copy of the generated crash report. ** Attachment added: Crash report http://librarian.launchpad.net/5055501/_usr_lib_deskbar-applet_deskbar-applet.1000.crash.tar.gz -- Deskbar applet crashed https://launchpad.net/bugs/6 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 71462] Hauppauge WinTv Go2
Public bug reported: This Card doesn't work, doesn't edgy support this card? i recived an answer to my question in v4l mailinglist: the last time I checked the card the only way to get the tuner working was hardcoding 56 in the module source. ok i asked where i have to do this hardcording staff, answer: The thing I did was just check out the hg sources of V4L and compiled them a few times. Gives you the latest development and no kernel pain ;) core-tuner_type = 56; (line: 1156 of core) tun_setup.type = 56; (line: 132 of i2c) The only 'issue' I had was the tuner starts with NTSC instead of PAL-BG. But that is easy solvable, isn't it? so this seems to be a kernel related thing and i wouldn't build a custom kernel whit harcoding code stuff, cause ubuntu sad custom kernel would break support / only for developers etc. Is there an ubuntu way to fix this with a kernel update or whatever? if some files or output is needed i could provide everything just tell me what. thanks ps. sorry my english i know :-( ** Affects: Ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- Hauppauge WinTv Go2 https://launchpad.net/bugs/71462 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 71463] WLAN enabled led is not lit on Travelmate 3000
Public bug reported: WLAN enabled led on Travelmate 3000 is not lit. The led is also a button to disable WLAN on hardware level. When WLAN is hardware disabled, it does not work. Because nothing indicates that user has accidentally disabled WLAN, reason for problem is not obvious. User often wastes time trying to fix problem by modifying configuration. Because user actually modifies a working configuration, the changes most can break the good configuration. The led is on Travelmate 3000 front, between speakers, near bluetooth enabled led, left of mic and headphones jacks. I have seen the problem on Breezy and Dapper. According to other reports, it also exists in Fedora Core 6. My test device was Acer Travelmate 3000, 3004WTMi. [Bug 70314] Monitor and Display module won't load correctly in Hungarian install
Public bug reported: I have had the following problem for a while, in Dapper and now in Edgy too: my system is installed in Hungarian language, and when I go into System settings/Monitor and Display, it gives me an error message, and the actual content of it just doesn't show up. The error message says something like this: - An error occurred during your last KDE upgrade leaving an orphaned control module - You have old third-party modules lying around. I only realized that the problem somehow has to do with the Hungarian setup when I used the Edgy RC version which was in English. There, the display module came up without problems. Public bug reported: Binary package hint: ipmasq I had to install dnsmasq and ipmasq to get networking in MOL (mac-on-linux) according to the guide in the wiki. It actually works and I get network access in MOL. Later I found out that when I restart my system I don't have access to network. I found many lines in dmesg such as: [ 232.870897] IN= OUT=eth0 SRC=192.168.1.101 DST=212.116.161.38 LEN=60 TOS=0x00 PREC=0x00 TTL=64 ID=39841 DF PROTO=UDP SPT=32770 DPT=53 LEN=40 Eventually I discovered that running MOL fixes it and then I get network access on my system too (outside of MOL).
