[Bug 77859] Re: Firefox: saved passwords causes crash with Mailman admin page
I just want to confirm an interim solution for folks who desperately need to admin mailman lists: sudo aptitude install firefox/dapper IMHO, a better approach, that doesn't sacrifice the latest security enhancements, is to manually install the official Firefox build from Mozilla.org following the instructions posted at Daniel Robitaille's blog[1]. When the fixed FF appears in the Dapper updates, one has just to remove the symlink /usr/local/bin/firefox and start using the native FF build. According to the numerous posts at ubuntuforums.org, the crash doesn't affect only mailman lists, but also other login pages -- a situation that the current official FF build manages without any complaints, so far. Re: [Bug 79161] Re: totem-xine crashes
Hello I checked Synaptic for totem-xine dbgsym, and I already have it installed. I have attached the backtrace with gdb in OpenDocument Text format. The last two lines (gdb) are there because I pressed Enter on my keyboard. I can not trigger the crash when I want.Sometimes I can trigger it easily, and sometimes it requires some effort to trigger it. I play ISOs created from video DVDs,as well as .flvs downloaded from Youtube that are converted into normal video formats. You can download Youtube .flvs converted into normal video formats from http://vixy.net/flv_converter Ahmed Sebastien Bacher wrote: Thank you for your work on that. xine-ui is the xine player. [Bug 77673] Re: Cacti produces no graphs - apache/syslog errors
Hi Brad, I tried to reproduce this this morning on a fresh Dapper install. All the graphs are created successfully and I have no error in apache error.log. I had the messages just after install before graphs are created (but graphs are created within 5 min). I am using apache2, which version of apache are you using (it may came from there). [Bug 79439] Re: New aiccu version 2007.01.15 released
According to the news page at SixXS all old versions where deprecated when 2007.01.07 was released, that is probably the problem there. But fortunately the version from the download page simply works. Just use a extra apt-repository in /etc/apt/sources.list and done ;) It would be great though if Ubuntu also had this new version so that Ubuntu is up to speed with the rest of the world. -- New aiccu version 2007.01.15 released https://launchpad.net/bugs/79439 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 48772] Re: Firefox randomly crashes
I'm having the same problem, on Kubuntu Edgy and stock FF2. I tried not using my FF profile, but it will randomly crash just as well. This is not the only application showing this behaviour, but it is the one in with it is more frequent: Amarok, Konqueror, KWin and Kicker are others. As this is happening to me in more than one application I thought it could be a hardware problem. In order to exclude RAM failure I ran memtest86 for about two hours on my laptop, no errors reported. -- Firefox randomly crashes https://launchpad.net/bugs/48772 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 79531] kde-guidance-powermanager icon transparency issues
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: kde-guidance There is an issue with the kde-guidance-powermanager icons which can make it impossible to see the charge level when the battery is discharging, the panel the icon is on is transparent and the desktop background is dark. Unlike the charging-* icons the discharging-* icons have the background of the battery set as transparent, which makes it very difficult to see the black bars denoting charge level when the panel is transparent and the background is dark - it looks like the battery is fully charged all the time. Setting the background of the battery in the discharging-* images to white (as it is in the charging-* icons) instead of transparent will fix the issue. It would also be nice if the colour of the power icon next to the charging-* images could be made to stand out more, since it is also difficult to see against a dark background. ** Affects: kde-guidance (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- kde-guidance-powermanager icon transparency issues https://launchpad.net/bugs/79531 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
