Public bug reported: Binary package hint: firefox Description of the problem: After watching four or five getamac adverts on the apple website I tried to quit firefox and while the are you sure you want to close the tabs dialog was appearing firefox crashed. Steps to reproduce: 1. Start firefox . 2. Visit http://www.apple.com/getamac/ads/ 3. Let the video play for a few seconds. 4. While that video is playing click on another video that you have yet to watch at the bottom of the screen. 5. Go to step 3 a few times. 6. Open another tab and try and quit firefox by using the X at the top right hand corner of the window. Expected results: Newly clicked videos to always keep playing. Firefox to quit without crashing. Actual result: Eventually the video area will be perpetually black. Quitting firefox results in a a crash. How reproducible is the problem: Haven't tried to reproduce it yet. [Bug 91336] mga driver produces incorrect refresh rate on G100
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-mga I have an HP Vectra VE machine with a Matrox G100 [Productiva] AGP graphics card. This is connected to a Compaq 472P monitor, which can display 800x600 @ 60Hz. The default configuration script in Ubuntu 6.10 produces 800x600 @ 163 Hz, which obviously doesn't work. Modifying the xorg.conf brings the refresh rate down to 81 Hz, but this still doesn't work. If I create a modeline using gtf for 800x600 @ 60 Hz, put this in to the xorg.conf and set the HorizSync and VertRefresh constraints to a suitably narrow band around the values I want, it should produce a 60Hz signal, but I get 81 Hz. The Xorg.0.log shows most of the default modelines being discarded, but my custom modeline and a few of the default ones still remain. However, none of the remaining modelines are at anything like 81 Hz. If I use dpkg to do a forced upgrade of xserver-xorg-video-mga from 1.4.1 (as shipped in Ubuntu 6.10) to 1.4.4 (as currently available on Debian Testing), then the problem is fixed - it now produces 800x600 @ 61 Hz (with the same xorg.conf) Therefore, I'm forced to conclude that there is a bug in xserver-xorg- video-mga 1.4.1. I note that Ubuntu FeistyFawn seems to be using 1.4.6, so hopefully it's already fixed in Feisty. ** Affects: xserver-xorg-video-mga (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- mga driver produces incorrect refresh rate on G100 https://launchpad.net/bugs/91336 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 86023] Didn't work
I have a 2.1 Gb revision. Having relinked subversion with libapr1 I was capable of importing my repository. However I was not able to use it. My revision 1 is 2.1Gb so I cannot modify any files from that revision. libapr0 is not able to read the revision file. I basically need to rebuild the subversion deb file and all its dependencies linking them with libapr1 instead of libapr0. I am clueless on how to change the libraries a deb links with as it is being built. I admit that this is not a bug. Subversion was packaged as is by design. The problem is that is useless for me as the libapr0 library it was linked with only accepts 2GB files. [Bug 91338] kghostview does not save the list of recent files on logout
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: kghostview If I open some files in KGhostView, quit, and start KGhostView again, the list of recent files (File / Open Recent) is properly updated. However, if I do not quit KGhostView but simply log out from KDE, this does not seem to be the case. On the next log in, KGhostView is started, it shows the file that was open on log out, etc., but the list of recent files is not up-to-date. It seems to contain the file that is currently open but not any other files that I had opened before log out. The same bug seems to occur in some other KDE applications, too. Something else that has just happened; I believe there were some Gnome updates in the last couple days; after a reboot earlier this evening, nothing 'docks' in the system tray anymore. [Bug 91341] [sync] please sync libpam-ldap 180-1.7 from Debian unstable (main)
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: libpam-ldap Please sync libpam-ldap 180-1.7 from Debian unstable (main) Changelog: libpam-ldap (180-1.7) unstable; urgency=high . * Non-maintainer upload. * High-urgency upload for RC bugfix. * Check for both 'host' and 'uri' in the existing pam_ldap.conf, so that uri entries aren't incorrectly discarded on upgrade. Also handle ldapi:/// URIs in the postinst, rather than mistaking this for a host entry. Closes: #407746. * Use ldapi:/// as the default server value, not 127.0.0.1, since ldapi is going to be more efficient than tcp * Incorporate a postinst fix from libnss-ldap, so updates will preferentially be made to the first *uncommented* instance of the option in pam_ldap.conf, not just the first instance. * Incorporate updated debconf templates from libnss-ldap where appropriate; thanks to Christian Perrier for the assistance. * Debian translations: - Copy translations from libnss-ldap. This adds Catalan, Danish, Spanish, Galician, Norwegian Bokmål, Russian (all incomplete right now) - Include updated Galician translation; thanks to Jacobo Tarrio. Closes: #413448. - Include updated Czech translation; thanks to Miroslave Kure. Closes: #413539. - Include updated Dutch translation; thanks to Bart Cornelis. * Use debconf substitutions for package name and file name in templates; no direct benefit to this package alone, but allows translators to translate the same string only once for libpam-ldap and libnss-ldap. ** Affects: libpam-ldap (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- [sync] please sync libpam-ldap 180-1.7 from Debian unstable (main) https://launchpad.net/bugs/91341 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 91276] Re: Rhythmbox crashed while inactive (paused podcast)
Tom, This bug report unfortunately lacks debug information, and may mean that developers can not get enough info to fix or diagnose it. Can you follow the instructions at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProgramCrash and add the dbgsym for rhythmbox, gstreamer, then try this again. One way to try it would be to start rhythmbox, play the same podcast, and then pause it on something before sleeping. You could then check if it has crashed in the same way the next morning. Hopefully, with the dbgsym info installed, there will be more useful info. Thanks, Danny ** Changed in: rhythmbox (Ubuntu) Status: Unconfirmed = Needs Info -- Rhythmbox crashed while inactive (paused podcast) https://launchpad.net/bugs/91276 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
