[Bug 145480] Problem with devices(/dev/sg*) using two scanners
Public bug reported: I've an agfa snapscan 310 scsi connected to de back of an Epson Filmscan 200. The Epson Filmscan 200 is connected on a scsi card. Both scanners are recognized on win xp and on linux mandrake 9.2 in vuescan 8.4.31... In Ubuntu feisty Fawn 2.6.20-16-generic (under Gnome), it appears that the devices are changing in /dev/sg* After a reboot, only the Agfa is recognized but if I change an other sg* other than the sg* of the scanner Agfa or of the cdrom, and I put it in scanner group, both scanners are recognized for this session if I restart vuescan 8.4.31... The problem is that what is modified in /dev/sg* in a ubuntu session for the Epson is changed when I reboot the system and then, the Epson will not be recognized. [Bug 144765] Re: Xgl crashed with SIGSEGV
Thank you for reporting this bug. Can you tell me what graphics card and driver you are using? Also, could you attach the output of the glxinfo command (you can generate this by running glxinfo glxinfo.log in a terminal)? If you need to temporarily disable Xgl in order to do this, you can create a file called disable in the ~/.config/xserver-xgl directory (which you may need to create) ** Changed in: xserver-xgl (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided = Medium Assignee: (unassigned) = Chris Halse Rogers (raof) Status: New = Incomplete -- Xgl crashed with SIGSEGV https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/144765 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 99810] Re: mozilla-plugin-vlc: symlinks for Firefox are in the wrong place
The suggested fix works, I confirm this for 7.10 on AMD64. The bug should be considered high profile as in Germany, the state TV has expanded its online offerings to Open Source users, using VLC for non-Windows-Users, responding to respective demands from Linux users. Ubuntu however is the only OS/Linux distro where people can still NOT access the online broadcasts and therefore is damaging Ubuntu reputqation here in Germany badly. In short: This bug really sucks and needs urgently to be fixed for Gutsy release. Otherwise, we risk Gutsy being ripped apart in German computer magazine tests in Oktober/November as it fails this test. http://www.heute.de/ http://www.heute.de/ZDFmediathek/content/9280?inPopup=true ** Attachment added: Ubuntu users have to choose WINDOWS Media Player since VLC and Quicktime do not work http://launchpadlibrarian.net/9520354/Bildschirmfoto-http%3A--www.zdf.de%20-%20ZDFmediathek%20-%20Mozilla%20Firefox.png -- mozilla-plugin-vlc: symlinks for Firefox are in the wrong place https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/99810 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
