[Bug 184732] Re: youtube skips when playing a video, like theres a glitch somewhere
I can also confirm this is a bug, because I have the same problem as the previous user. Every youtube video and any streaming video on different websites (i.e. Stage6, myspace video) all skip. I am using Firefox 2.0.0.11 and have the newest Flash plugin (Shockwave Flash 9.0 r115, as you stated earlier.) This problem did not occur until after the update to 2.0.0.11. Here are some sample videos to test with: http://youtube.com/watch?v=LJX0FzDLhXQ http://youtube.com/watch?v=pPdFrW076R0 The first one is a fast-paced video, and the 2nd is a slower, softer one. This is so you can see that this bug occurs no matter what type of video it is. [Bug 174343] Re: Flash player 9.0 r115 crashes nspluginwrapper in Konqueror
Mmm.. maybe I was too excited about youtube working, and thought that everything was right. As I can see now, youtube (as well as youtube embeded videos) and many other flash sites are working again for me. About www.libero.it, it behaves the same in konqueror as in firefox. However, I've found a place where youtube embedded video does render in firefox, while in konqueror all I have is a gray area. I link directly to the news page with the video: http://www.20minutos.es/noticia/342357/0/maradona/mano/dios/ Maybe it has to do with the way the embed the video, and not with nspluginviewer working wrong, because in the same web site, the have a totally flash driven video section, which is working pretty well: http://www.20minutos.tv/index.php?v=gimYnaYreR -- Flash player 9.0 r115 crashes nspluginwrapper in Konqueror https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/174343 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 158166] Re: Samsung HM160JI sata hdd no devices detected
The workaround works but if you would like to keep your efi partition its best to use an updated distro. The libata_piix driver shipped with the official Fedora 8 and Ubuntu 7.xx install disc is having troubles detecting the samsung drive when an GPT/EFI setup is used. Other drives dont seem to have this problem. Use the updated distros, they have the newer kernel drivers. (Ubuntu) Hardy alpha-4 http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/hardy/alpha-4/ or (Fedora 8) Unity Re-Spin F8 20071218 http://spins.fedoraunity.org/unity/fedora-unity-re-spin-f8-20071218 I tested them both, and confirmed working with this drive, using GPT MBR (and EFI partition) and also tried using MS-DOS MBR (but that was allready working as stated above). I'm now running Leopard OSX 10.5.1 and Fedora 8 Unity Re-Spin 20071218 using a GPT setup (meaning I still have the EFI partition, followed by the HFS partition, ext3 /boot partition and LVM). -- Samsung HM160JI sata hdd no devices detected https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/158166 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 188334] [NEW] installation broken when /tmp has insufficient permissions
Public bug reported: I just tried to install mysql-server-5.0 on a Ubuntu 7.10 server which accidentally had wrong permissions on the /tmp directory (755, owned by root:root). At first sight, the installations succeeds, but it ends up with only debian-sys-maint in the user table. So, no changes to the database are possible. I suppose the problem is in the postinst script, which uses mktemp to create several temporary SQL scripts in /tmp.
