[Bug 189502] [NEW] Packaging request for Columbia Esterel Compiler
Public bug reported: HomePage: http://www1.cs.columbia.edu/~sedwards/cec/ The Columbia Esterel Compiler is an open-source compiler designed for research in both hardware and software generation from the Esterel synchronous language. It currently supports a subset of so-called Esterel V5, and can generate a C program or a Verilog or BLIF circuit description from an Esterel program. It is implemented in C++ using the ANTLR parser generator (version 2.7.2) and the expat XML parsing library (version 1.95). It makes heavy use of modern C++ features such as namespaces, templates, and the standard library. Building it requires gcc 3 or above. As of the 0.3 release, ANTLR is not necessary to compile the system from source. Its design is modular. Each pass is a standalone executable invoked by the cec script. The passes communicate through XML files generated from internal data structures by the IR package. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Assignee: Julien Boucaron (julien-boucaron) Status: Incomplete -- Packaging request for Columbia Esterel Compiler https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/189502 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Re: [Bug 189183] Re: sshd hardcodes SSHD_PAM_SERVICE
* Colin Watson You might like to be aware that the Debian maintainer and the main Ubuntu maintainer for openssh are the same person, namely me. Having a go at Debian in Ubuntu bug reports often does not get the response you might be looking for ... I was aware of that. No offence intended. I apologise if you felt that way. Red Hat, SuSE, and probably most other distros, are using the default PAM config file location with no ill effects. This modification is undisputedly eccentric to Debian (and by extension Ubuntu). I could not think of any sound technical reason for making such a change in the first place, and at the same time it's fairly obvious that it was not an accident either. Whenever I stumble across «Debianisms» such as this one they are usually due to some requirement in the Debian policy, so I assumed that to be the case here too. Since Ubuntu isn't bound to the Debian policy, I was hoping that the Ubuntu packages could be changed back to the match the upstream default and established practise of using /etc/pam.d/`basename $0` as the PAM configuration file location. [Bug 86103] Re: azureus- java: xcb_xlib.c:50: xcb_xlib_unlock: Assertion `c-xlib.lock' failed.
There is a work around posted at: http://bugs.sun.com/bugdatabase/view_bug.do?bug_id=6532373 . QUOTE: I worked with jcristau and christoph4 via IRC on #debian-x, and we managed to track down the problem with broken locking in Sun Java 1.5 and 1.6. It only occurs if Java finds the Xinerama extension, at which point it does something broken with locking and triggers the assertion. If Java never finds the Xinerama extension, it doesn't trigger the assertion for broken locking. The following workarounds address this problem: For sun-java5-bin: sed -i 's/XINERAMA/FAKEEXTN/g' /usr/lib/jvm/java-1.5.0-sun-1.5.0.11/jre/lib/i386/xawt/libmawt.so For sun-java6-bin: sed -i 's/XINERAMA/FAKEEXTN/g' /usr/lib/jvm/java-6-sun-1.6.0.00/jre/lib/i386/xawt/libmawt.so The same fix (applied to the appropriate file) might work for other proprietary JDKs. - Josh Triplett END QUOTE. Re: [Bug 173190] Re: firefox does not render some pages some of the time
I ran into this bug again and made a few more observations. Was using Firefox 2.0.0.11 on Ubuntu 7.10 to view http://www.domainbyproxy.com/ First tab displaying this bug was grey. Opened a few tabs to browse other sites and they were fine. Afterwards, directed browser to the problematic URL on a new tab. The bug displayed there also, except the page was white instead of grey. All subsequent tabs with bug displayed white. Refreshing, retyping the URL, etc all resulted in the same symptoms - the document is retrieved as evidenced by the title bar but the page is not displayed and no context menu appears when right-clicking within the tab. http://www.domainbyproxy.com/index.html gives me a 404 page but the bug is still there. View-View Source opens source window but does not show any content initially. Maximizing, restoring, or resizing the browser/source window will cause page/source to render. This remedy works only if the tab is in focus. Changing size of parent window while another tab is in focus does not render the page on the tab with bug. Once the page is rendered correctly on a tab, I wasn't able to recreate the bug on the same tab. Bug continues to occur on new tabs, though. After some time, the bug could not be produced again. Dunno what's special about the website that could cause this problem. The domain name? DOCTYPE declaration? Character encoding? Maybe the problem lies with a component involved in rendering to display area which is shared by both page and source view windows. Could it be the proprietary ATI driver I'm using? But in that case can't think why the bug applies just to certain sites and doesn't happen all the time. -Paul On Jan 21, 2008 11:19 AM, Tom Anthony [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Closing all my instances of FF and reopening it seems to have made the problem go away. -- firefox does not render some pages some of the time https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/173190 You received this bug notification because you are a direct subscriber of the bug. -- http://wagonfly.blogspot.com/ http://empraptor.homeip.net/ [EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED] -- firefox does not render some pages some of the time https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/173190 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 189509] [NEW] Desktop Appearances Properties crashes repeatedly - gnome-appearance-properties crashed with SIGSEGV in XSetCloseDownMode()
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-control-center This is a fully (for me at least) reproducable crash. Steps to reproduce: Right-click on desktop - Change wallpaper - Crash within a minute or some seconds This bug invalidates Bug #187337 which is the same but for which I wasn't sure what I was doing when the crash happens. Turned out that nothing needs to be done but wait after having launched gnome- appearance-properties.
