Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. This bug did not have a package associated with it, which is important for ensuring that it gets looked at by the proper developers. You can learn more about finding the right package at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage . I have classified this bug as a bug inlibvirt. For future reference you might be interested to know that a lot of applications have bug reporting functionality built in to them. [Bug 551221] Re: consider a newer version of apache2 for lucid or backport some changes
I am not sure how wise it is to make a release that is supported for 5 years and does not contain the fix for CVE-2009-3555 (unless you mean to add it later). Clients may change their behaviour and refuse to connect to insecure servers at some time in the future. The improved protection for vulnerable clients I mentiond in my first post is already in 2.2.14-5, so just ignore that. The postrm hook is not urgent but may be required for the update to the next LTS release. Maybe it would be enough to add it later in a point release. Disclaimer: I don't know much about the Ubuntu release process. ** CVE added: http://www.cve.mitre.org/cgi- bin/cvename.cgi?name=2009-3555 -- consider a newer version of apache2 for lucid or backport some changes https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/551221 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to apache2 in ubuntu. -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

What do I mean? Well, when I right click the applet, the 'Enable Wireless' option is greyed-out. In fact, the module wl doesn't load sometimes, but here is why I consider this bug to belong to network-manager-applet: When I switch off and back on the wireless antenna, the WiFi icon in my computer lights up, indicating that the drivers for the network are loaded. At this point, network-manager-applet still says wireless is not accessible. The next thing I can do to prove you that the wireless is in fact working for the whole system but for network-manager-applet, is to run '# iwlist scan'--that returns some networks detected by my networking hardware; ergo, the card is working, its just that nm-applet isn't seeing it yet. To prove even further my point, I decided to try out the wpa_supplicant, which is used to connect to networks through the command line interface --find the output attached. The thing is, after letting wpa_supplicant work for a while (during which network-manager-applet still thought that the wireless wasn't on) it got to connect to the network. System: Ubuntu 10.04 'Lucid Lynx' App version: 0.8 Please ask for any information you will need in order to fix this bug. ** Affects: network-manager-applet (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Network Manager not seeing wireless https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/554987 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 554989] [NEW] Lucid - Go Home Applet cause X to restart - Reproducible
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: go-home-applet Might be some kind of obscure configuration bug. The netbook-launcher was not in the list to automatically start on login, so I added it manually in Startup Applications. After a restart, the netbook-launcher runs just fine. When I click the go-home-applet, my X server instantly crashes and sends me to the GDM screen. I am not running the Netbook Edition but the Desktop with the netbook launcher and go-home-applet installed via synaptic. I will wait for any requests for debugging information before I try the following! However I think if I delete the configuration files related to the netbook-launcher and the go-home-applet the issue will be resolved. Once I do so I will report my findings. The applet worked on the first use, but not after a reboot. What should have happened: Hiding all windows and showing the netbook-launcher. What happened instead: The X server crashed. Re: [Bug 475171] Re: No sound at Login screen choppy sound at desktop start up
Hi Brad, Thanks for your response and help. Karmic Koala 9.10, still lacks sound at the login screen and the desktop startup sound is still choppy. I am currently using Lucid Lynx 10.04, since Alpha 3 sound in the buggy area is much improved. There was an update that did revert back to the choppy sound with crackles and pops, but currently in Lucid Lynx 10.04 Beta 1-login sound is good/normal and the desktop startup sound is not choppy, though it still has slight crackles and pops. Thus far the buggy sound has been improved. *If it remains an issue, could you run the following command from a Terminal (Applications-Accessories-Terminal).
