Public bug reported: Binary package hint: arno-iptables-firewall I have arno-iptables-firewall and rsyslogd. This installs /etc/rsyslog.d/arno-iptables-firewall.conf. This files states that messages will be logged to /var/log/arno- iptables-firewall and than dropped. This is not the case. Its probably a combination of two (or more) bugs in my case (#433782 also affects me). syslog gave me very similiar output to Joey Stanfords syslog (see above), that's why I thought that this is the same problem. [Bug 611757] [NEW] If more than one ubuntu installation on separate discs are present and a new linux image loads grub does not automatically look for the new image unless it is on the first boot disc
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: grub I have three SATA hard drives. sda has Ubuntu 10.04-x86 on it, sdb Windows 7 and sdc Ubuntu 10.10-AMD64. The system boots from sda and if that version of Ubuntu updates a new linux image Grub correctly enters it in the menu. If the Development version (on sdc) is upgraded with a new linux image the menu is not upgraded. This can lead to problems and it is necessary to run a session in 10.04 (on sda) and run update-grub. The menu is then correct and everything is stable and fine. I am now in 10.10 and the version of Grub is grub-pc 1.98 but I imagine the problem is with the version in 10.04. This has been regularly upgraded. [Bug 611759] [NEW] No cover art in Rhythmbox.
Public bug reported: I've used Ubuntu for about nine months. I'm nearly computer illiterate so my unqualified praise may not mean much but I love Ubuntu. I've been able to navigate through WiFi driver issues and an OEM install on my Dell laptop using the Ubuntu Forums. I have yet to find the solution to getting Rhythmbox 0.12.8 to show album cover art on Lucid. The progress icon is showing where the cover art should eventually appear. But it never does. I've disabled and re-enabled the plug-in. I've tried Picard Music Brains and still nothing. With specific instruction I can Gedit a Rhythmbox file if necessary.
