Definitely no retagging. Either 2.6.32.18 consists of just a revert or the
additional fix and nothing else if it is deemed important enough.

Installing from the 20100803 ISO everything registers correctly.

Looks like it's an issue in the preseeding that is done to automate your
installs. Everything is working OK as far as the node autoregistration
is concerned.

I suspect the preseeding fails top deploy the CC key to the NC
/var/lib/eucalyptus/.ssh/authorized_keys, please doublecheck that you
can find your CC public key there after a fresh preseeded install.

Unmilestoning for alpha-3 since the ISO works correctly.

I have the same problem (nvidia driver reported as activated but not in
use). But when I remove all other drivers that I can find from the
system (nouveau and nv) and restart, I find that this message is still
reported.

However, when I start up nvidia-settings (195.36.24) I also find that
some adjustments there work (digital vibrance, x server colour
correction) and some don't (x server xvideo settings).  This suggests to
me that the nvidia driver is in fact in use, perhaps not fully, despite
the message from the jockey gui.

I'm experiencing a little different issue with Archlinux, cairo 1.9.14
and nvidia 256.44. The 'window selection' rendering in the panel is
brighter and the whole desktop is a bit 'wider' than with Nouveau (and
nv).

OOo is still installed, so that unregistering is done using the existing OOo,, 
then upgrade to new OOo and, and install the new openoffice.org-voikko with the 
new unopkg offered by openoffice.org-common.
  
  (note there is another report bug #556321 on 9.10 - 10.04 upgrade
  problems, but I can't replicate those as described there)

Yes, use the 'nomodeset' or something. You can select it after the language
selection in the CD boot screen.

Hello,

I bought recently the Mac Mini 4.1 (2010 model). It has the same mcp89
SATA controller as MacBookPro 7.1 so I was hoping that solution from
this thread will work for me too. I burned latest image from
http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/lucid/daily-live but I failed to boot Ubuntu
from the live-cd. After about one minute of DVD drive activity my screen
just stays black.

Did I miss something ? Do I need to specify some boot-time parameters by
hand ?

How to reproduce:
- plug off your machine for some days
- make sure your machine is disconnected from the internet (wifi disabled etc.)
- start machine, wait for red warning sign in taskbar to appear
- click red warning sign, which will start the update manager
- click check button to check for new updates

Expected behavior:
- update manager should claim that it was not able to fetch the latest list of 
updates, therefore it can't say whether there are any new updates available or 
not

Actual behavior:
- update manager claims that there are not updates available (although there 
are several critical security updates available!)

Environment: Ubuntu 10.04 standard Desktop installation
