[Bug 876309] [NEW] Banshee 2.2.0-1ubuntu2 in active Background mode does not show any symbol on the screen image

[Bug 875956] Re: Clicking User Accounts closes System Settings
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. However, your crash report is either missing or challenging to deal with as a .crash file. Please follow these instructions to have apport report a new bug about your crash that can be dealt with by the automatic retracer. If you are running the Ubuntu Stable Release you might need to enable apport in /etc/default/apport and restart. Now open your file manager, navigate to your /var/crash directory and open the crash report you wish to submit. If this fails you will have to open a terminal and file your report with 'ubuntu-bug /var/crash/_my_crash_report.crash' where _my_crash_report.crash is the crash you would like to report. If you get an error that you aren't allowed to access this report you will have to file it with 'sudo ubuntu-bug /var/crash/_my_crash_report.crash'. I'm closing this bug report since the process outlined above will automatically open a new bug report which can then dealt with more efficiently. [Bug 732526] Re: Dash - Drag and drop app install from App Lens to Launcher is broken
** Description changed: When in the App Lens (and Dash home), the user should be able to drag and drop application icons to the Launcher to install the application. + This same interaction should also be triggered when a user clicks on a + 'Available for download' application. + Desired solution: - dragging and dropping a application from the 'Apps available to download category header' onto the Launcher should: 1) add the application icon to the launcher in a grayed out state 2) install the application. As the application is installed, the app icon should fill with colour. When installation is complete, the icon should be in its normal state fully filled with colour. [Bug 875368] Re: Repeated crashes during clean install of XUbuntu 11.10
I ran the live cd from an external harddrive using the Grub2 feature of booting directly from an iso using a custom grug.cfg on the external hdd. I.e. I installed grub2 on the external hdd bootsector, customised /boot/grub/grub.cfg and added the iso to the external hdd. There was no initial screen where I could check for defects but I did compare the md5 of the iso file (on the external hdd) to the ones at: http://se.archive.ubuntu.com/mirror/cdimage.ubuntu.com/xubuntu/releases/11.10/release/MD5SUMS It may be a hardware issue though. I finally managed to install after setting the bios to safe-defaults and using a different partition on the hdd. If it helps, I can try to recreate the problem again to determine if it was the bios settings or the hdd. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/875368 Title: Repeated crashes during clean install of XUbuntu 11.10 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity/+bug/875368/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
