[Bug 1044643] [NEW] Top and bottom panels are missing on all workspaces but the first one
Public bug reported: I'm using Ubuntu 12.04 and gnome-panel. The default is having 4 workspace that are two by two in bottom right. I prefer for them to be four in a row so when I went to change to that set up I ran into a problem. On any workspace but the first one you can't see the top and bottom pannels. To get back to the first workspace I have to right click and Change Desktop Background. It forces me back to the first workspace. I've also tried a two by three workspace set up and same thing occures. It should also be noted that when I would move a window to another workspace you don't see a orange square in the preview box like it would normally would. Everything works find and like it should though if I leave the workspace setup as default, a two by two workspace. ** Affects: gnome-session (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Description changed: I'm using Ubuntu 12.04 and gnome-panel. The default is having 4 workspace that are two by two in bottom right. I prefer for them to be - four in arrow so when I went to change to that set up I ran into a + four in a row so when I went to change to that set up I ran into a problem. [Bug 190515] Re: [Hardy][Intrepid] Low bandwidth with rt2400 / rt2500 drivers
This bug is still present in Precise. Using an A-Link PCI card (Ralink corp. RT2500 Wireless 802.11bg (rev 01) according to lspci), I get about 1.4 Mbit/s regardless of what iwconfig shows, and so many dropped packets it's practically unusable. Disabling power management as per comment #161 helped somewhat: I get higher speeds, up to 10 Mbit/s immediately after boot, but soon it drops back to 1.4 Mbit/s range. It doesn't, however, drop packets anymore, so it's usable although sluggish. [Bug 1043171] Re: [Quantal] [Regression] corrupt X11 background (white) on Intel
My symptoms here do not look like bug #1044552 but may, or may not, be related to bug #104221. However moving windows around is not what causes most screen corruption (unless Windows moves and touch the launchbar, then the background isn't repainted properly). My symtoms are : 1- Screen background disappears and is replaced with plain bright white 2- Contextual (right-button) menus appear empty (only grey background) but their textual contents appear as soon as I hover my mouse over them. 3- Hovering my mouse over the launchbar causes text labels to appear (which is normal) but when they disappear (moving the mouse elsewhere) the background isn't redrawn so it leaves a white corruption. 4- Possible other problems that I didn't notice yet ? I could only make a screenshot of problem #1. I cannot screenshot #2 as the screenshot key is disabled when a contextual menu is displayed. I cannot screenshot #3 as the background is redrawn when I press the screenshot key. ** Attachment added: Screen background corruption example #1 https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video-intel/+bug/1043171/+attachment/3286977/+files/fnix_corrupt_1.png -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1043171 Title: [Quantal] [Regression] corrupt X11 background (white) on Intel To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video-intel/+bug/1043171/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1042916] Re: sourceslist.SourcesList doesn't reuse disabled sources entries
I don't exactly know the inner workings of the release upgrader but it seems that the sourceslist.py in the release upgrader is copied to the package at build time as it's just a symbolic link to sourceslist.py of python3-apt. [Bug 1044625] Re: Unity closes/refreshes every few minutes
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. However, your crash report is either missing or challenging to deal with as a .crash file. Please follow these instructions to have apport report a new bug about your crash that can be dealt with by the automatic retracer. If you are running the Ubuntu Stable Release you might need to enable apport in /etc/default/apport and restart. Now open your file manager, navigate to your /var/crash directory and open the crash report you wish to submit. If this fails you will have to open a terminal and file your report with 'ubuntu-bug /var/crash/_my_crash_report.crash' where _my_crash_report.crash is the crash you would like to report. If you get an error that you aren't allowed to access this report you will have to file it with 'sudo ubuntu-bug /var/crash/_my_crash_report.crash'. I'm closing this bug report since the process outlined above will automatically open a new bug report which can then dealt with more efficiently. Thanks in advance for your cooperation and understanding. ** Changed in: unity (Ubuntu) Status: New = Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1044625 Title: Unity closes/refreshes every few minutes To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unity/+bug/1044625/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
