[Bug 1260168] Re: package samba 2:3.6.3-2ubuntu2.8 failed to install/upgrade: подпроцесс новый сценарий post-removal возвратил код ошибки 127
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Reviewing your log files attached to this bug report it seems that a package failed to install due to a segmentation fault in the application being used for the package installation process. Unfortunately, this bug report isn't very useful in its current state and a crash report would be much more useful. Could you try recreating this issue by enabling apport to catch the crash report 'sudo service apport start force_start=1' and then trying to install the same package again? This process will create a new bug report so I am marking this one as Invalid. Thanks again for helping out! [This is an automated message. I apologize if it reached you inappropriately; please just reply to this message indicating so.] ** Tags added: package-install-segfault ** Changed in: samba (Ubuntu) Status: New = Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to samba in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1260168 Title: package samba 2:3.6.3-2ubuntu2.8 failed to install/upgrade: подпроцесс новый сценарий post-removal возвратил код ошибки 127 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/samba/+bug/1260168/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
[Bug 1259076] Re: certificate authentication tls1.2 browser ie 11
Hello, We have found the problem. On newer versions of their browser, microsoft blocks the use of certificate based on the hash algorithm md5 with tls 1.2 protocol so the connections fail because the certificate is not presented to the server. So I tried to disable the tls1.2 on the server, but this feature is not yet implemented on ubuntu 12.04 LTS release. A bug has been done to this address: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/apache2/+bug/1200136. When do you think this could be done? [Bug 522142] [NEW] Unable to configure Cacti database on install (no MySQL root password)
You have been subscribed to a public bug: Binary package hint: cacti Short version: The Cacti install should set up the database by prompting the user for database and database user information, rather than a) requiring them to research/already know about dbconfig-common, and b) fail to install the database because of not asking for the MySQL root password. Long version: I ran `sudo apt-get install cacti` and the system installed MySQL (with root password prompt) and other dependencies, but when it gets to configuring cacti, I get an error No database user specified.. To continue, I'm given a choice of: abort retry retry (skip questions) ignore Via Google I figure out that I need to set some database connection information in /etc/dbconfig-common/cacti.conf, so I add values for, database user, database user password, database name, and database admin. I'm puzzled that there's no mention of the database admin password, but I'll try and carry on. I get no obvious Google hits around ucf, root, and password. I re-read /usr/share/doc/cacti/README.Debian.gz, which says configuration dbconfig-common should be automatic. Retrying the database installation step, I now get the error: ERROR 1045 (28000): Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: NO) Obviously dbconfig-common is not getting into MySQL without a password, and is not asking me for the password. Maybe I'm missing some commonly known approach to setting it up, but there's nothing in the processes telling me how to get the automatic install to work. In the end I chose abort, and created the database manually, as described in /usr/share/doc/cacti/README.Debian.gz. It took a bit of fiddling, but it seems to be running now. [Bug 134274] Re: TCP_DEFER_ACCEPT causes random HTTP connection failures in load-balanced web-server farms
This exact problem causes havoc if you have many slow clients on slow networks (gprs). We actually had this problem, and to confirm #8. its *really* hard to catch. We actually had a 80% unsuccessfull connection attemps. I cannot believe Apache ships with TCP_DEFER_ACCEPT on 1 sec, or even enabled at all. I don't see the possible gain. ref: varnish had it enabled for a while but they disabled it too [1] Can ubuntu change the default config to include: AcceptFilter http none AcceptFilter https none [1] https://github.com/Movile/varnish/commit/687bacb3152ebc8b00b8dd737ef1dedb12bd4ee2 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to apache2 in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/134274 Title: TCP_DEFER_ACCEPT causes random HTTP connection failures in load- balanced web-server farms To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/apache2/+bug/134274/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

Re: [Bug 1250007] Re: Bootstrapping azure causes memory to fill
I'm very certain this will be a bug in printing an error message who's string (Error()) routine calls itself, recursively. So it only happens during an error, and make things infinitely worse @jamespage, if you can reproduce the issue, can you hit the process with a SIGQUIT and post whatever output you can, the stack trace will point to the offending code.
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. It seems that your bug report is not filed about a specific source package though, rather it is just filed against Ubuntu in general. It is important that bug reports be filed about source packages so that people interested in the package can find the bugs about it. You can find some hints about determining what package your bug might be about at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage. You might also ask for help in the #ubuntu-bugs irc channel on Freenode. To change the source package that this bug is filed about visit https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1260159/+editstatus and add the package name in the text box next to the word Package. [Bug 1118447] Re: Race condition with network and NFS mounts causes boottime hang
I found what's going on, it looks to me like there is another race condition between upstart and systemd scripts, sometimes rc.local gets to mount some of my NFS shares but other times it doesn't. The first thing I tried was doing a loop until ifconfig was showing a valid address but it didn't work either, at the time network card got the IP address the route was not present, so I've done a loop waiting for the route to be ready, and then mount the volumes. aux=0 while [ $aux -eq 0 ]; do route -n /tmp/network if grep 192.168.40.1 /tmp/network; then aux=1; fi done echo mounting home /tmp/network mount /home 2 /tmp/network echo mounting data /tmp/network mount /data 2 /tmp/network echo mounting usr /tmp/network mount /usr/local 2 /tmp/network exit 0 And having /etc/fstab not to mount at startup. fourier:/export/data/data nfs vers=3,rsize=32768,wsize=32768,nosuid,soft,noauto 0 0 But this is a very quick and dirty solution, any workaround more gentle? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1118447 Title: Race condition with network and NFS mounts causes boottime hang To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1118447/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1260128] Re: Nvidia-prime produces unbearable visual stutter
Unfortunately this is a current limitation (to be fixed in the future) also mentioned in NVIDIA's documentation: There is no synchronization between the images rendered by the NVIDIA GPU and the output device.
