[Bug 1290717]
Git commit 4ca8b846baaad48ebbd723f6411f9571a3b0f5ad by Dan Vrátil. Committed on 22/04/2014 at 09:28. Pushed by dvratil into branch '1.12'. Remove the invalid GID part from PartTable before starting PartTable migration More people than we expected have invalid 'GID' part in their PartTable, which breaks migration to schema 25, because it expects all part types to have a valid name. To work around this fact, we DELETE all parts with name 'GID' from PartTable before starting the actual migration. This will not fix the migration for people with other invalid parts, but I haven't heard of any such. To make this completely bullet-proof, we would need to iterate through all entries, which would be massively slower than current INSERT INTO ... SELECT FROM approach. Distributions, this is a good choice for backporting into 1.12.1 ;-) FIXED-IN: 1.12.2 M +9-0server/src/storage/dbupdater.cpp http://commits.kde.org/akonadi/4ca8b846baaad48ebbd723f6411f9571a3b0f5ad -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1290717 Title: akonadi 1.11.80 fails to start To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/akonadi/+bug/1290717/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1309237] Re: Work around whoopsie returning null string during session start
** Description changed: During session startup, the call to whoopsie_identifier_generate will on some devices leave both buffer and error as NULL. In particular, running http://pastebin.ubuntu.com/7268480/ on mako (and presumably on manta) as a *session* upstart job, with the upstart script of http://pastebin.ubuntu.com/7268498/ will get a null, null for the first 10 seconds (approximately) on mako: Rebooting (boot in dmesg -T at Thu Apr 17 14:32:36 2014, first init: line at Thu Apr 17 14:32:44 2014), in the upstart logs I get a series of 2014-04-17T14:32:54+ (null) :: nil (that's also the first such line ,10s after init) until suddenly 2014-04-17T14:32:56+ (null) :: nil 2014-04-17T14:32:56+ 81dc12[...]cd58 :: nil I don't know what's causing this, as it doesn't make sense from what I can read in the code. + + -- + + The whoopsie bug is now in lp:1311571 + + -- + + [Impact] + + ubuntu-push-client gets an empty string for the whoopsie identifier, + which is rather not unique (so connections from multiple devices will + get disconnected). + + [Test Case] + + You need: + + * a computer capable of running the ubuntu push server. + * at least two devices using the stable image and that can talk to the computer over the network + + on a computer reachable from the devices, do: + + mkdir -p test-case-1309231/src/launchpad.net + cd !$ + bzr branch lp:ubuntu-push + cd ubuntu-push + make bootstrap + sed -i~ -e 's/127.0.0.1//g' sampleconfigs/dev.json + make run-server-dev + + on the devices, edit /etc/xdg/ubuntu-push-client/config.json (or copy it + to ~phablet/.config/ubuntu-push-client/config.json and edit it there) so + that addr points to the IP address of the computer, and port 9090; + something like + + addr: 192.168.1.1:9090 + + (note there is no https:// as the hosts discovery step is being + skipped). + + Reboot the devices. Tailing ~phablet/.cache/upstart/ubuntu-push- + client.log will show a series of rapid disconnects and reconnects; the + output of the server will show a series of empty registered (as + opposed to registered followed by a 256-byte hash). + + [Regression potential] + + There's a possibility that whoopsie never stops returning a null string, + and thus we never progress. [Bug 1185756] Re: drbd8-utils not compatible with linux-lts-raring kernel in 12.04
It is a bit odd. Ok, some warnings seems to be coming from pacemaker commands. Like the WARN: decode_transition_key: Bad UUID (crm-resource-3048) in sscanf result (3) for 0:0:crm-resource-3048 I guess the problem is this: Apr 22 21:55:43 storage0 lrmd: [1242]: info: RA output: (p_drbd_bigpool:0:start:stderr) drbdadm: Unknown command 'syncer' Apr 22 21:55:43 storage0 drbd[3079]: ERROR: bigpool: Called drbdadm -c /etc/drbd.conf syncer bigpool This would mean that drbdadm did not pass control on drbdadm-83. And that would only happen if the current version did not seem to be 8.3. That version number looks to be read from /proc/drbd and would reflect the version of the kernel module. At least as long as reading from /proc/drbd is not failing. Then it would fall back to a version number defined in the command (which would be wrong). Would have been interesting to find out whether calling drbdadm syncer bigpool manually would fail the same way but that would need another maintenance window. Maybe try to see what /proc/drbd is showing. I probably would suggest that we open a new bug report for the cluster case, so this one can be closed with the fix to drbdsetup. Then at least the direct usage seems to work. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1185756 Title: drbd8-utils not compatible with linux-lts-raring kernel in 12.04 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/drbd8/+bug/1185756/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

The only difference is that my office have several AP:s for the same SSID (To cover the whole office space) and my mobile hotspot and home wifi have only one AP. I have generated wireless_info.txt from wireless_script to gather as much information as possible. They will be included in this ticket. The test is done at extract the same spot, just after each other. wireless-info-single-AP.txt - Connected via my mobile hostpot (EgUSpot) currently in use for writing this ticket. wireless-info-multi-AP.txt - While trying to connect to office wifi (Aurora, I think) All passwords and so on is triple checked and they all worked before updating to 14.04 from 13.10 The laptop I test with is a Lenovo T440p with Intel Wireless 7260 chip. I hope I got all the information you need to solve this, if not please ask and I will try to add the requested information. /BR ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 14.04 Package: network-manager 0.9.8.8-0ubuntu7 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.13.0-24.46-generic 3.13.9 Uname: Linux 3.13.0-24-generic x86_64 ApportVersion: 2.14.1-0ubuntu3 Architecture: amd64 CurrentDesktop: Unity Date: Wed Apr 23 11:34:56 2014 IfupdownConfig: # interfaces(5) file used by ifup(8) and ifdown(8) auto lo iface lo inet loopback InstallationDate: Installed on 2013-12-20 (123 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy Salamander - Release amd64 (20131016.1) IpRoute: default via 192.168.43.1 dev wlan1 proto static 172.17.0.0/16 dev docker0 proto kernel scope link src 172.17.42.1 192.168.43.0/24 dev wlan1 proto kernel scope link src 192.168.43.189 metric 9 NetworkManager.state: [main] NetworkingEnabled=true WirelessEnabled=true WWANEnabled=true WimaxEnabled=true SourcePackage: network-manager UpgradeStatus: Upgraded to trusty on 2014-04-22 (0 days ago) mtime.conffile..etc.NetworkManager.NetworkManager.conf: 2014-03-26T15:36:47.007617 nmcli-dev: DEVICE TYPE STATE DBUS-PATH cdc-wdm2 gsm disconnected /org/freedesktop/NetworkManager/Devices/6 wlan1 802-11-wireless connected /org/freedesktop/NetworkManager/Devices/1 eth1 802-3-ethernetunavailable /org/freedesktop/NetworkManager/Devices/0 nmcli-nm: RUNNING VERSIONSTATE NET-ENABLED WIFI-HARDWARE WIFI WWAN-HARDWARE WWAN running 0.9.8.8connected enabled enabled enabledenabled disabled ** Affects: network-manager (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug trusty wifi ** Attachment added: Wireless info multi AP https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1311576/+attachment/4093932/+files/wireless-info-multi-AP.txt -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1311576 Title: Wifi can't connect when there are many AP for the same SSID To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/network-manager/+bug/1311576/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

For those who don't have aptitude or ppa-purge, the problem can be solved (in a dirty way) by downloading the .deb package and installing it through the command: dpkg --force-overwrite -i package_name. Removing gnome PPA had no effects for me, because they were already automatically disabled through the do-release-upgrade command. The suggested command will enable you to use apt-get again, but can be harmful to your system. [Bug 1311586] [NEW] apt-add-repository on trusty leaves precise in filename and commented out deb-src lines
Public bug reported: On do-release-upgrade, this deb line is commented out: Before 0 jan@muizenberg:/etc/apt/sources.list.d$cat aims-aims-desktop-precise.list deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/aims/aims-desktop/ubuntu precise main # deb-src http://ppa.launchpad.net/aims/aims-desktop/ubuntu precise main After 0 jan@muizenberg:/etc/apt/sources.list.d$cat aims-aims-desktop-precise.list # deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/aims/aims-desktop/ubuntu precise main # disabled on upgrade to trusty # deb-src http://ppa.launchpad.net/aims/aims-desktop/ubuntu precise main Once do-release-upgrade is done, running apt-add-repository enables the deb line and changes it to trusty inside the file, but leaves 1) the filename as precise, and 2) leaves the commented deb-src line at precise. [Bug 1307390] Re: fwts shows several systems have FAILED [HIGH] DevConfigDiffAfterS3 on saucy 13.10 proposed kernel 3.11.0-20-generic
Taihsiang Ho, thanks for your comment. The name HP Compaq CQ2000 PC is what the information I have so far. Fair enough. I expected you are looking for the information related to the components of that machine. And the link in comment #5 has such information. http://www.ubuntu.com/certification/hardware/201206-11401/components/; Unfortunately, your expectation would mistaken, as I'm looking for the specific model name as per the sticker, not series name, as per my prior comment https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1307390/comments/6 . However, if the requested information is unable to be provided, I'll leave you to it. :) ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete = Confirmed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1307390 Title: fwts shows several systems have FAILED [HIGH] DevConfigDiffAfterS3 on saucy 13.10 proposed kernel 3.11.0-20-generic To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/fwts/+bug/1307390/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
