But this only works for the remote_smtp transport, not the smarthost variant. So I propose to include the following lines in transport/30_exim4-config_remote_smtp_smarthost under the 'remote_smtp_smarthost'. Please could you repeat as root sudo lsof | grep dnsmasq. I note that there's two instances of dnsmasq here, one started by libvirt (?) and one, I guess, started by network-manager. I wonder if some interaction between the two is what's causing the problem. Which one is the which is spinning? Can you disable the libvirt stuff and see if that makes a difference? The issue arises from using UUID to identify encrypted swap space: that is not supported, as stated at section 2.3 of the cryptsetup FAQ (https://code.google.com/p/cryptsetup/wiki/FrequentlyAskedQuestions#2._Setup): Specifying it directly by UUID does not work, unfortunately, as the UUID is part of the swap signature and that is not visible from the outside due to the encryption and in addition changes on each reboot with this setup. Is there any workaround for this yet? I'm on a 14.04 install up-to-date, and I can confirm this bug for me: pm-utils commands work just fine (except that they don't include the screen-locking for security, but they suspend and hibernate perfectly). I don't know if it still affects the OP, but it affects me (on Ubuntu 14.04) and I think on Ubuntu 13.10 I had an issue with Facebook as well, I only get GoogleTalk in 14.04 for now. It is very annoying as you can imagine :). Also if you click on the button to go to the Ubuntu Settings panel and go to Google account it states that it's already authorised so no other option than to remove the account and add it again... Loaded the updated xfce4-power-manager from ppa and I still have problems. Suspend does not lock the screen, but recovery is fine. Closing the lid, locks and suspends but the screen is black. Exiting to the terminal and the display is very low brightness requiring adjustment. Restart lightdm and I can recover but the session is lost. Please note 12.04 behaved fine on the same hardware. Hi Vertago1, Yes the patch appeared to work, we merged it to the Ubuntu dev packages and it worked for some people. The sector size was still an issue in some setups as windows appeared to use both 512 and 1024 byte sectors sizes. However once we hit the release we quite a few people then reporting non functioning RAID setups as the additional bytes I chose were obviously used for something else. Upstream dmraid doesn't accept patches. It seems that most people who start off booting using dmraid eventually migrate to a fully Linux Mdadm setup.
