[Bug 1409209] [NEW] After installing Lubuntu from USB stick, GRUB mistakenly lists Lubuntu as Ubuntu

[Bug 1409172] [NEW] Repeat in a sentence
Public bug reported: Section C.4.3 reads: This can be seen from the fact that mainstream economics has, for most of its history, effectively ignored the fact of oligopoly for most of its history. One of two things could be said about this sentence 1) It means for most of the history of mainstream economics, it ignores the fact that throughout most of its history, oligopoly was present 2) It means for most of the history of mainstream economics, it ignores the extant of oligopoly This seems to be close enough that the sentence both fails to distinguish between the two, and is unnecessarily complex. [Bug 1409222] [NEW] kubuntu live desktop iso xorg crashes upon launching installer
Public bug reported: sit down at certain computer that runs xubuntu and lubuntu ISOs just fine, but crashes the kubuntu ISO. download kubuntu 14.04.1 desktop iso. boot it. when the live desktop appears, switch to a virtual console. type in ubuntu-bug xorg, without a CR, to be ready. switch back to the live desktop. launch the installer. xorg crashes. switch back to the virtual console. hit CR (thus launching ubuntu-bug). do these several times, because there's no apparent response. eventually the lockup dissolves, and i see the ubuntu-bug interaction, which absorbed the extra CRs by repeating it's query about whether to send the report. meanwhile xorg is relaunched into a login screen. switch back to the virtual console. send the report. it's this one. [Bug 1409192] [NEW] HP Stream touchpad mouse buttons not working correctly
Public bug reported: The buttons on my laptop touchpad are not functioning correctly under Ubuntu 14.10. The laptop is a HP Stream model 11-d008tu. The trackpad is all one section and does not have separate visible mouse buttons. When running Windows 8 clicking the bottom left section of the trackpad causes a left click action, and clicking the bottom right section of the trackpad causes a right click action. Under Ubuntu the behaviour is as follows: - An optical USB mouse plugged into the laptop works normally IF the trackpad mouse buttons are never used. - Clicking the left or right button sections of the trackpad does NOT result in any left or right click action occurring (e.g. opening right click menu). - After trying to perform a left or right button click using the button section of the trackpad, any left or right click from the USB mouse does NOT work anymore if clicking on an application window. They do however work if clicking on the Unity launcher sidebar. This problem is fixed after a reboot. - Using basic click touchpad gestures that are on the main section of the trackpad work normally (i.e. single finger tap to left click, two finger tap to right click, two finger drag to scroll). - Other multitouch touchpad gestures do not work (e.g. 3-finger pinch or hold). [Bug 683118] Re: i2c errors with af9015 / tda18271 (V4L DVB)
We really do appreciate you opening this ticket to help improve Mythbuntu, but it needs to be closed for a number of reasons. The biggest one is that the MythTV developers have turned their efforts to newer versions and and are no longer fixing bugs on this version of MythTV. The Mythbuntu team has builds of newer versions of MythTV available on a PPA if you are interested in upgrading. Please follow the directions at http://mythbuntu.org/repos to enable them. Please do not let the closing of this ticket dissuade you from opening a new ticket if this (or any other) problem occurs with the newer versions. ** Changed in: mythbuntu Status: New = Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/683118 Title: i2c errors with af9015 / tda18271 (V4L DVB) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/mythbuntu/+bug/683118/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1400411] Comment bridged from LTC Bugzilla
--- Comment From shrey...@in.ibm.com 2015-01-10 03:01 EDT--- Testing fastsleep - With these patches cpuidle framework picks up fastsleep as one of the idle states. You can observe the cpus entering fastsleep by checking /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpuXX/cpuidle/state2/name. This should show FastSleep. Then while system is idle check /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpuXX/cpuidle/state2/time increment over time This shows the amount of time a particular cpu was in fastsleep. [Bug 950494] Re: [Macbook Air 3,2] headset mic not recognized
Hello, I'm running Ubuntu Gnome 14.04 on a new MacBookAir6,2 with the Cirrus Logic CS4208 and would love to get the microphone part of the TRRS connector working. Mac OS picks up and utilizes the TRRS headset mic without issue so I know the hardware is a go. Running sudo hda-jack-sense-test -a results in: Traceback (most recent call last): File /usr/bin/hda-jack-sense-test, line 47, in module codec = HDACodec(cardindex, codecindex) File /usr/share/snd-hda-tools/hda_codec.py, line 1036, in __init__ self.parse_proc() File /usr/share/snd-hda-tools/hda_codec.py, line 1135, in parse_proc self.proc_codec = HDACodecProc(self.card, self.device, file) File /usr/share/snd-hda-tools/hda_proc.py, line 479, in __init__ self.parse(proc_file) File /usr/share/snd-hda-tools/hda_proc.py, line 677, in parse node.add_digital(line[11:]) File /usr/share/snd-hda-tools/hda_proc.py, line 296, in add_digital self.wrongfile('unknown dig1 bit %s' % repr(b)) File /usr/share/snd-hda-tools/hda_proc.py, line 143, in wrongfile raise ValueError, wrong proc file format (%s) % msg ValueError: wrong proc file format (unknown dig1 bit 'KAE') So not really sure where to go from here. I opened up hdajackretask to find four pins: Green Headphone Pin ID: 0x10 Headphone Internal Speaker Pin ID: 0x12 Internal speaker Pink Mic Pin ID: 0x18 Not connected Internal Mic Pin ID: 0x1c Internal mic Unplugging and replugging the headset changes the Output device in sound settings from Headphones to Speakers so that works, but nothing in the input tab ever changes. It always lists two devices: Internal Microphone and Microphone. Both of these seem to actually be the internal microphone in the mac - either works without the headset connected at all. So I'm not really sure how to proceed from here, but I'd be happy to run whatever diagnostic tests might prove useful and/or even contribute code toward a fix - but I just have no idea where to start. Is it as simple as just finding the right pin and telling the system to use it as a microphone? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/950494 Title: [Macbook Air 3,2] headset mic not recognized To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/alsa-driver/+bug/950494/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 565557] Re: MythTV incorrectly detects interlaced stream on progressive content
We really do appreciate you opening this ticket to help improve Mythbuntu, but it needs to be closed for a number of reasons. The biggest one is that we have turned our efforts to a newer version.
