[Bug 1429475] Re: Kubuntu Vivid 1 Beta 15.04 installation: Slideshow is missing german translation
It is not only the string on the bottom, it is the whole side(s of the slideshow). Oh, you're right. I only saw the big bold text at first. Is this also the case for the other slideshow pages? AFAIR this also applies for the following slides. How can I see the translations for previous versions? Maybe I can help by translating ... If you click on translations on the top of the page you will see the various Ubuntu releases with translation templates in all languages for that particular package. For instance https://translations.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity-slideshow-ubuntu. When starting out, you'll be able to add suggestions for translations which a member of one of the translation teams will the review (and hopefully approve). I added translation for two untranslated strings. But the rest seems to be translated. But maybe I'm looking at the wrong place. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1429475 Title: Kubuntu Vivid 1 Beta 15.04 installation: Slideshow is missing german translation To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-translations/+bug/1429475/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1303411] Re: Steam not installing? 14.04
That's right - if you install from the software center in Ubuntu 14.04, it hangs and you get a failed to install error, but if you download the deb package from the Steam web site and install it in Terminal it works just fine. To be on the safe side I installed two 32 bit libraries I found on another discussion - ia32-libs and libcurl:i386; that wouldn't be an issue in 64 bit linux. My guess is them idiots at Synaptic or whoever haven't updated the software center or the packages; I've run into that all over the place. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1303411 Title: Steam not installing? 14.04 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1303411/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 384156] Re: udffsck is missing
The most logical thing to do would be port the OpenSolaris source code to linux. It is available here: http://src.illumos.org/source/xref/illumos- gate/usr/src/cmd/fs.d/udfs/fsck/ AFAICT it is pretty self-contained. This should really be made a priority first of all. 2nd priority after that, improve write support of UDF v2.60 to match the other operating systems (Windows and Mac OS X). Not sure who is going to do it, if the 'upstream project' is inactive. But really this can be done independently. Perhaps there is motivation enough from community contributions. As there are many people who want / need this. [Bug 1423326] Re: lxsession should depend on lxsession-logout
This is a valid bug. trusty and utopic are not affected, as both have lxsession packages that depend on lxsession-logout. I believe the importance should be set to low, as installing LXDE on vanilla Ubuntu instead of installing Lubuntu or lubuntu-desktop will probably not be an action taken by most users. Can you confirm if installing lxsession-logout fixes this bug? sudo apt-get install lxsession-logout Perhaps additional testing should be done, as there are several other packages that were dependencies of previous lxsession packages that are no longer dependencies: output of apt-cache depends lxsession (Utopic vs Vivid): https://www.diffchecker.com/ke7jzylm -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1423326 Title: lxsession should depend on lxsession-logout To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/lxsession/+bug/1423326/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Thanks for taking your time to report this issue and help making Ubuntu better. [Bug 1429011] Re: 15.04 wallpapers package
This is the new version with proper (smaller) resolution of one wallpaper, the package has only about 14MB now. If it is possible it would be wonderfull - to satisfy the requirements of the Ubuntu guideline for wallpapers - to keep the quality of the wallpapers (not to change the JPEG compression ratio). [Bug 1180225] Re: all imdb-get searches return no results
I attached a patch which partially fixes the problem for version 0.9-1. The problem is a probably a redesign of the imdb homepage. Unfortunately, the developer didn't add any comments about the expected input, which makes it complicated to find out how the new commands should look like. With the patch, the tool is at least able to list search results again and it can extract the title (i got stuck at the extraction of the director). Personally, I think, bash and regular expressions are just the wrong language for parsing HTML, because it also leads to escaping problems (see below) and can return very surprising result if texts contain trigger words. Here the result after patching: $ imdb-get -s alien 1: Alien (1979) 2: Untitled Neill Blomkamp/Alien Project (2017) 3: Alien (2010) (Video) 4: Aliens (1986) 5: Alien#194;#179; (1992) 6: Outpost 37 (2014) 7: Alien: Resurrection (1997) 8: Aliens in the Attic (2009) 9: Cowboys amp; Aliens (2011) 10: Alienator (1990) Select a Film: 1 Getting details from IMDB id: tt0078748 $ imdb-get -a -s alien 1: Alien (1979) 2: Untitled Neill Blomkamp/Alien Project (2017) 3: Alien (2010) (Video) 4: Aliens (1986) 5: Alien#194;#179; (1992) 6: Outpost 37 (2014) 7: Alien: Resurrection (1997) 8: Aliens in the Attic (2009) 9: Cowboys amp; Aliens (2011) 10: Alienator (1990) Select a Film: 1 Getting details from IMDB id: tt0078748 title: Alien year: 1979 director: a href=/name/nm631/?ref_=tt_ov_dr itemprop='url'Ridley Scott Writers: a href=/name/nm0639321/?ref_=tt_ov_wr writer: tagline: plot: genre: cast: coverart: rating: ** Patch added: imdb-patch-unfinished.patch https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/imdb-tools/+bug/1180225/+attachment/4338190/+files/imdb-patch-unfinished.patch -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1180225 Title: all imdb-get searches return no results To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/imdb-tools/+bug/1180225/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1428711] Re: indicator-sound-service crashed with SIGSEGV in g_variant_is_trusted()
Yep, it looks like we're getting a player with a NULL state somehow, which is crashing when we try to convert that into a variant for sending over the bus. (1) we should sanitize our inputs better, ie modify the state property setter to disallow NULLs. More importantly, (2) we need to figure out where this NULL state is coming from. ** Information type changed from Private to Public -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1428711 Title: indicator-sound-service crashed with SIGSEGV in g_variant_is_trusted() To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/indicator-sound/+bug/1428711/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1429631] [NEW] freemedforms-emr crashes during network installation
Public bug reported: -BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE- Hash: SHA512 Dear Masters Of The Universe, Affected release: Ubuntu 14.04 LTS Trusty Source Package: freemedforms-project (0.9.0-2) As described on upstream issue manager [1] freemedforms-emr crashes during network installation (during first run of freemedforms-emr, select type of install: Network (as server)). This bug was fixed in version 0.9.4 which is available in Debian Testing (aka Debian Jessie) and also in Debian Unstable (aka Debian Sid). I uploaded freemedforms-project 0.9.4 Debian source package to our Launchpad ppa:freemedforms/ppa : the build process for Trusty worked seamlessly and the application network installation works perfectly. Quick fix would be to sync. Thank you very much. Re: [Bug 517021] Re: gvfsd-metadata causes 100% CPU usage
Philip, when I said Please make noise, I didn't meant that you should make 100 comments in the bug. I meant to raise awareness of the bug at the Ubuntu maintainers who decide which hotfixes to include in a LTS release. I don't know how that works.
