[Bug 1451125] Re: ReText preview doesn't work: no markups are available
ReText recommends python3-markdown, so it is installed by default when one installs ReText. I can't move it to Depends because ReText can work without Markdown support (i.e. reST only). ** Changed in: retext (Ubuntu) Status: New = Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1451125 Title: ReText preview doesn't work: no markups are available To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/retext/+bug/1451125/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1449138] Re: Installing of a new language causes that other locales are registered as outdated
According to man locale-gen it generates all supported locales if no locale/language arguments are specified. That's the documented behavior. [Bug 1450950] Re: Package dependency on Java
Since you have installed java manually, without the package manager, it has no way of knowing it shouldn't install java from the archive. [Bug 1446247] Re: Lubuntu 15.04 - No power indicator in applet indicator
I have the same exact issue. I recently upgraded to 15.04. I had the power indicator icon in 14.10, but it disappeared when I upgraded. I was doing some searching online, and found a lot of people suggesting to going into the xfce4-power-manager-settings and setting Show tray icon: to Always show icon. Some of this information is a couple years old, so it is possible that the answer no longer applies. When I open xfce4-power-manager-settings, the Show tray icon option does not appear. More online research led me to the following configuration file: ~/.config/xfce4/xfconf/xfce-perchannel-xml/xfce4-power-manager.xml It looks like older versions of this file had a Show tray icon option [see https://forum.xfce.org/viewtopic.php?id=8786], but the one installed in 15.04 does not. Either this option is no longer supported, or someone left it out accidentally. Maybe this can lead someone towards a solution for this problem. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1446247 Title: Lubuntu 15.04 - No power indicator in applet indicator To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xfce4-power-manager/+bug/1446247/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Okay, I prepared another USB with an ISO of the Kubuntu CI project (https://launchpad.net/~kubuntu-ci). It's working fine on both computers. [Bug 1451277] Re: Extremely high IOWait and processes hungs after utopic-vivid upgrade
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. It seems that your bug report is not filed about a specific source package though, rather it is just filed against Ubuntu in general. It is important that bug reports be filed about source packages so that people interested in the package can find the bugs about it. You can find some hints about determining what package your bug might be about at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage. You might also ask for help in the #ubuntu-bugs irc channel on Freenode. To change the source package that this bug is filed about visit https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1451277/+editstatus and add the package name in the text box next to the word Package. [Bug 1451282] [NEW] Alt key doesn't work in Vivid Vervet with Emacs
Public bug reported: Emacs has a handy feature with the Alt key. If I type, say Control-X 8 ' a, it's as if I typed á, but once I've started doing that there's a faster way to do it, namely, type Alt-' a. Unfortunately in Vivid Vervet this doesn't seem to work: every time I type Alt-' Emacs acts as if I typed Meta-', and similarly Alt-x is treated as if I typed Meta-x, and so on for every character, which means that Alt is essentially useless. I tried all the methods suggested on the net to work around this, and none of them worked. For example, the shell command 'xmodmap -pm' reports: xmodmap: up to 4 keys per modifier, (keycodes in parentheses): shift Shift_L (0x32), Shift_R (0x3e) lockCaps_Lock (0x42) control Control_L (0x25), Caps_Lock (0x42), Control_R (0x69) mod1Alt_L (0x40), Alt_R (0x6c), Meta_L (0xcd) mod2Num_Lock (0x4d) mod3 mod4Super_L (0x85), Super_R (0x86), Super_L (0xce), Hyper_L (0xcf) mod5ISO_Level3_Shift (0x5c), Mode_switch (0xcb) but when I type, for example, xmodmap -e 'clear mod1', it complains: X Error of failed request: BadValue (integer parameter out of range for operation) Major opcode of failed request: 118 (X_SetModifierMapping) Value in failed request: 0x17 Serial number of failed request: 8 Current serial number in output stream: 8 Apparently this has something to do with the change to Wayland, which deprecates xmodmap. The Gnome keyboard settings UI doesn't let one change how Alt works. gnome-tweak-tool complains as follows when I try to run it: $ gnome-tweak-tool WARNING : Shell not installed or running WARNING : Error detecting shell Traceback (most recent call last): File /usr/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/gtweak/tweaks/tweak_group_shell_extensions.py, line 278, in __init__ raise Exception(Shell not running or DBus service not available) Exception: Shell not running or DBus service not available WARNING : Shell not running None INFO: GSettings missing key org.gnome.nautilus.desktop (key computer-icon-visible) and if I ignore this and click on Typing, I get a bunch of seemingly-helpful possibilities, none of which work (and, by the way, the menu choices are often unreadable).
