[Bug 1503572] Re: Crypt Login freeze and random system freeze
I can confirm this bug for my ThinkPad T450, model 20BV001BGE running 15.04 for kernel 3.19.0-30 and 3.19.0-31. Plus, something maybe interesting, when using these kernels the intel-linux graphics installer doesn't recognize the i915 graphics card. If using the -28 kernel, the system is stable, I don't get the "The master control interrupt lied (SDE)!" error message and the intel-linux- graphics-installer recognizes the graphics card and runs smoothely. Just an addition: The bug shows similarities to this one, although it was only reported for Firefox: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1194358 Users report that compiz may cause the problems, and that would explain why the problem isn't present when using "Gnome Classic (no effects)" as compiz is not running there (but metacity). These "*i18n_Translation-en" errors are met quite every day. But they are mainly disturbing: redo an upload , and you usually does not met it. As i get so often that issue myself, i quite understand how it is produced: - if the server (from where you download) get itself some new updated package(s) AND at the SAME TIME the user upload its archive, then xapian is disturbed and confused, as its index is rebuilt on the server (aka changing) and then mismatch (so the error) - to get a better working index, i think the index should be saved when it is stable (not updated/changed on the server) and then used to avoid the mismatch on the user side. [Bug 1503718] Re: control-center, wacom-tablet: Calibration window is unresponsive
apport information ** Tags added: apport-collected wily ** Description changed: I am not able to calibrate my Wacom Cintiq 24HD in Ubuntu Gnome 15.10 (Beta 1, fresh install). [Bug 1158141] Re: apache2 forward proxy socket read error
Found it. Actually it was due to both a pecularity in the proxy server I wanted to get through, and a bug in how proxytunnel sets SNI. It seems that our proxy server ignores SNI in SSLv3, but considers it in TLSv1. And proxytunnel sets the wrong SNI. proxytunnel ---> proxy1 (the one I want to get through) ---> proxy2 (my Apache) ---> ssh. After sending CONNECT proxy2:443 to the proxy1 (in order to be connected through to proxy2), it starts negotiating the SSL session with proxy2. It would be logical to base that negotiation on the host name of proxy2. However, proxytunnel mistakenly includes proxy1 as the SNI in that negotiation. With the result that the "evil" proxy1, which snoops at the initial part of the negotiation (which is still clear-text...), sees that SNI, then ignores the host that it got in the CONNECT header, and instead attempts to connect to the host that it saw in the SNI, which would be itself (proxy1 instead of proxy2). In my case, just dropping the SNI setting code in stream_enable_ssl in pstream.c fixed the issue. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1158141 Title: apache2 forward proxy socket read error To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/apache2/+bug/1158141/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1502781] Re: Bluetooth 0930:021c not working in Ubuntu 15.10
I'm still testing over Ubuntu 15.10, kernel 4.2.0. It has problems with WiFi. If have tested using the last version of: sudo add-apt-repository ppa:hanipouspilot/bluetooth sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install btusb-lp1502781-dkms Previous version with supplied headers works OK (bluetooth and wifi). Only one file is different. I have check that btintel.h header is different. This header is from kernel 4.3. In order to fix this bug in kernel 4.2 (use attached files) : 1- Install btusb-lp1502781-dkms_0.1_all.deb 2- Copy btbcm.h, btintel.h and btrtl.h to "/var/lib/dkms/btusb- lp1502781/0.1/build" 3- sudo make sudo make install 4- Reboot the computer. Then Bluetooth and WiFi works OK. [Bug 1504003] [NEW] Regression: spurious wakeup on HP EliteBook 850 G1
Public bug reported: Starting with Ubuntu kernel 3.13.0-44.73, the system spuriously reboots instead of powering off. Kernels up to 3.13.0-43.72 are not affected. The problem is 100% reproducible. It has also been mentioned in https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1346269/comments/15 but that bug report was originally about different hardware (Lynx Point, not Lynx Point-LP) and should not be hijacked to discuss the EliteBook 8x0. The same holds for bug #1320282. Kernel 3.19.0-30 is also affected. The problem persists if the system is booted with xhci_hcd.quirks=0x2000 (XHCI_SPURIOUS_REBOOT) but goes away if one boots with xhci_hcd.quirks=0x4 (XHCI_SPURIOUS_WAKEUP). I've almost completed a bisection between 3.13.0-43.72 and 3.13.0-44.73. The remaining commits include both "xhci: Switch only Intel Lynx Point- LP ports to EHCI on shutdown." and "xhci: no switching back on non-ULT Haswell", however both the hardware configuration (Lynx Point-LP, 8086:9c31) and the above mentioned tests with quirk bit settings strongly suggest it's the latter commit that is at fault and that on this particular hardware (ULT Haswell) one needs *both* XHCI_SPURIOUS_REBOOT (automatically enabled by all the kernels I mentioned) and XHCI_SPURIOUS_WAKEUP. I have only intermittent access to an affected system and limited interest in spending more time on this now that a workaround (run a newer kernel with xhci_hcd.quirks=0x4) is known. However, my findings so far may be valuable to others. A look at the current linux-stable source tree on git.kernel.org suggests that the problem has yet to be addressed upstream (unless it's fixed/masked by some other change elsewhere in the code; I haven't actually tested the latest upstream kernel). The output of lspci -vvvnn (not -vnvn, sorry; I hope it's good enough) is attached. We've tried BIOS revisions 1.30 and 1.33. (1.33 is the latest, and 1.30 was a critical update so anything older is probably not worth supporting.) ** Affects: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 trusty ** Attachment added: "lspci -vvvnn output on EliteBook 850 G1" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1504003/+attachment/4488282/+files/lspci-vvvnn.log -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1504003 Title: Regression: spurious wakeup on HP EliteBook 850 G1 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1504003/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
