[Bug 1526808] Re: installed system qeth NIC name is too verbose
Imho, enccw600 is confusing. FIrst of all, I have no idea why ccw code path is compiled on all architectures when this bus is only present on S/390. Furthermore that's the only bus one can have ethernet devices (and dasd disk drives) on. Thus all network nics end up with "ccw" in the name, which is weird. Thus I do want to drop the static prefix of ccw, which has no meaning (unlike e.g. letters in the PCI enumeration). I've contacted original contributer of the ccw names, no response yet. Will propose upstream too. ** Changed in: systemd (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed => In Progress -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1526808 Title: installed system qeth NIC name is too verbose To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/systemd/+bug/1526808/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1539158] [NEW] Unable to pair with in-car hands-free system after OTA-9 update
Public bug reported: After OTA-9 I started having trouble with my bluetooth connection to the car hands-free system (no sound, and incoming calls no longer displayed the number), so I have reset both the car and the phone connections (eg. forgot the devices). Now I can't even pair the phone with the car's system. The car finds the phone, and then asks me to enter the code "" to pair the device, but after a few moments, it just says the connection failed and asks me to try again. Which fails again. It was working fine just before the update. Any logs I should post to help debug? PS - The car is a 2015 Honda Civic Tourer, if that matters. ** Affects: bluez (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1539158 Title: Unable to pair with in-car hands-free system after OTA-9 update To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/bluez/+bug/1539158/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1539157] [NEW] Images built with "link_in_boot = yes" in /etc/kernel-img.conf end up with a broken /boot/initrd.img
Public bug reported: Some architectures get "link_in_boot = yes" added to /etc/kernel- img.conf by lb_chroot_linux-image; it appears that cloud images built for these architectures (I have checked s390x and arm64) end up with an LZMA-compressed empty regular file at /boot/initrd.img (instead of the expected symlink to /boot/initrd.img-...). In terms of time-of-introduction, I have confirmed that an s390x image built against proposed on the 12th of January was good, whereas an s390x image built against the main archive on the 25th was not. Public bug reported: On certain pages (History, New Tab) with an external monitor and keyboard connected, the highlighting of the items is really not distinguishable and don't appear to be working using keyboard shortcuts and keys (i.e. arrow keys) to navigate. Specifically: History View: - highlighting of history entries in right hand column need to be darker/different color/more contrast, and/or change the color of the highlighted text - highlighting of entries in left hand column should match, although the highlighted text currently changes color to orange so that makes it obvious New Tab View: - Top Sites section: Can't tell at all which of the thumbnails previews is highlighted, this needs to be made more obvious - Bookmarks section: both columns currently change text color of selected items so this makes them distinguishable. [Bug 1539080] Re: Intel wifi broken after resume
I unfortunately can't reproduce this on demand. I've had it happen to me so far twice, both times immediately after resume, on two completely different wifi networks, once on a mobile hotspot from my phone and another time at a hotel in Brussels. My best guess is that it's got to do with some network state at suspend time which then causes breakage on resume. If I do find some kind of pattern that I can use to even vaguely reproduce this thing on request, then I'll definitely send you a trace. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1539080 Title: Intel wifi broken after resume To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1539080/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1536810] Re: kernel install failed /bin/cp: cannot stat ‘/boot/initrd.img-4.3.0-7-generic’: No such file or directory
link_in_boot is required as yes for s390x, and currently it seems like cloud-image generation is broken for s390x. Manually, upgrading from an older cloudimage (3.3 -6- version) I had to do a small dpkg remove surgery to drop all the packages, and reinstall new metapackages. What I found interesting, was that after "update-initramfs -u" call by kernel maintainer scripts, instead of actually generating the initramfs, it was "deffered for later by a trigger" which is not what kernel wants to do, given that it hopes to operate on the resultant files straight after (changing symlinks). ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => High ** Tags added: s390x -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1536810 Title: kernel install failed /bin/cp: cannot stat ‘/boot/initrd.img-4.3.0-7-generic’: No such file or directory To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1536810/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1539081] Re: LP1538822 : Update opencrytoki to version >= 3.4.1
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. It seems that your bug report is not filed about a specific source package though, rather it is just filed against Ubuntu in general. It is important that bug reports be filed about source packages so that people interested in the package can find the bugs about it. You can find some hints about determining what package your bug might be about at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage. You might also ask for help in the #ubuntu-bugs irc channel on Freenode. To change the source package that this bug is filed about visit https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1539081/+editstatus and add the package name in the text box next to the word Package.
