[Bug 1539854] Re: package libdbus-1-3:i386 1.10.0-1ubuntu1 failed to install/upgrade: package libdbus-1-3:i386 is already installed and configured
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Reviewing your log files attached to this bug report it seems that a package failed to install due to a segmentation fault in the application being used for the package installation process. Unfortunately, this bug report isn't very useful in its current state and a crash report would be much more useful. Could you try recreating this issue by enabling apport to catch the crash report 'sudo service apport start force_start=1' and then trying to install the same package again? This process will create a new bug report so I am marking this one as Invalid. Thanks again for helping out! [This is an automated message. [Bug 1539870] [NEW] Confusing, unnecessary "Do you want to close it" dialog
Public bug reported: Steps to reproduce: 0. Have two projects, A and B 1. Open project A in Geany, make no changes 2. Select Project > Recent Projects > Project B (Reproduced on an up-to-date Xenial installation today.) What happens: A dialog pops up saying the previous project is open, and asks if I want to close it before proceeding. What I expect to happen instead: For Project B to open without the dialog. I've not made any changes to Project A so the dialog is blocking the switch unnecessarily. If I *had* made changes, I'd expect them to be saved implicitly at this point, or, failing that, to be prompted to *save* the changes before switching; not whether I want to close Project A (which I do). Perhaps unrelatedly, the prompt title ("The 'Project A' project is open.") seems to be missing from Launchpad translations; only the question ("Do you want to close it before proceeding?") is translatable. ** Affects: geany (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Description changed: + Steps to reproduce: 0. [Bug 1539759] Re: Tab button does not appear when using the new header API
Renato, the design is redoing the navigation concept of the apps, and it will no longer be the Tabs which will be used for that purpose. The Tabs will be something which you can see in Chrome/Firefox on desktop and in Ubuntu Browser on the phone. While I do agree that this particular bug is not solved, it won't be the Tabs that will be affected, but the Navigation pattern. It would be wiser to discuss this with UX. So I've added UX to the bug. ** Also affects: ubuntu-ux Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Changed in: ubuntu-ui-toolkit (Ubuntu) Status: New => Triaged ** Changed in: ubuntu-ui-toolkit (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => High ** Changed in: ubuntu-ui-toolkit (Ubuntu) Assignee: (unassigned) => Tim Peeters (tpeeters) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1539759 Title: Tab button does not appear when using the new header API To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-ux/+bug/1539759/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

(1) I did update the bios. Output from dmidecode reads now... [Bug 1539989] [NEW] System Testing doesn't work, as well audio, recording and DVD player.
Public bug reported: MY OS is Ubuntu 14.04LTS and I have a HP Pavilion dv6500. Everytime I launch System Testing, it breaks after a hour of use (I cannot precise in which test it breaks), it restarts my pc and when I relaunch it, it asks me if I want to continue with the last test that remained unfinished. I click Yes but the program stays unresponsive for hours, until I finally quit it. Then, when I open it again, it welcomes me, but it stays stuck with a white window and the OK button (incomplete Suite Selection). Doesn't work either. Any suggestions? There are some things in my pc that aren't working, like audio and recording, as well DVD reproduction, and I thought that testing the system might solve it since it as a connection with software updater and launchpad (I guess). MrRomanze, the next step is to fully reverse commit bisect from kernel 4.3 to 4.5-rc1 in order to identify the last bad commit, followed immediately by the first good one. Once this good commit has been identified, it may be reviewed for backporting. Could you please do this following https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Kernel/KernelBisection#How_do_I_reverse_bisect_the_upstream_kernel.3F ? [Bug 1537583] Re: The external USB network adapter did not wake up from hibernation.
jjb, the next step is to fully commit bisect from kernel 3.13.0-71 to 3.13.0-76 in order to identify the last good kernel commit, followed immediately by the first bad one. This will allow for a more expedited analysis of the root cause of your issue. Could you please do this following https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Kernel/KernelBisection ? Please note, finding adjacent kernel versions is not fully commit bisecting. After the offending commit (not kernel version) has been identified, then please mark this report Status Confirmed.
