[Bug 1557298] [NEW] [Xenial][Bluez5] Low Energy Keyboard is paired incorrectly
Public bug reported: Failed to pair low energy(bluetooth smart, 4.0 or 4.1) devices correctly. 1. bluetooth smart mouse is being listed as "all type" in bluetooth- wizard, however it is able to be paired and use, even repair(i'm mentioning this because in some circumstance low energy device can be only paired once, bug #1515179) 2. bluetooth smart keyboard is unable to use after bluetooth-wizard says "OK". Also the passcode input is also not acting interactively like when pairing with bluetooth 3.0 keyboard. Above scenario also being verified with bluetoothctl and blueman. - More details about versions: Environment: xenial daily (20160307) bluez 5.37-0ubuntu5 gnome-bluetooth 3.18.2-1ubuntu2 blueman 2.0.3-1ubuntu1 bluetooth controller 0cf3:e005 Atheros Communications, Inc. (hci version: 4.1) Tested devices: Designer Mouse, bluetooth smart (pairable, work, re-pair work) Designer Keyboard, bluetooth smart (paired, not working) BT3.0 keyboard, bluetooth classic (pair and work) BT3.0 mouse, bluetooth classic (pair and work) - In control environment with the same hardware system and devices: trusty 14.04.1 + dist-upgrade (stay with 3.13 kernel) bluez5 5.35 (ppa: https://launchpad.net/~vidplace7/+archive/ubuntu/bluez5) It works with all above devices but can only be pairing through bluetoothctl, since the older bluetooth-wizard does not understand bluez 5.x. Everything seems works fine, although there are a lot more error messages, but since this bug is more about xenial, please let me know if we need more information about this, I'm able to reproduce this trusty scenario in anytime. - Additional note: A little clarification, since I'm not sure how far the Bluetooth SIG is going to use Bluetooth Smart(Low Energy, or even Smart-Ready) to cover the versioning, I decided to just use what ever I saw on the product box. [Bug 1557288] Re: zfs support on s390
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. It seems that your bug report is not filed about a specific source package though, rather it is just filed against Ubuntu in general. It is important that bug reports be filed about source packages so that people interested in the package can find the bugs about it. You can find some hints about determining what package your bug might be about at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage. You might also ask for help in the #ubuntu-bugs irc channel on Freenode. To change the source package that this bug is filed about visit https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1557288/+editstatus and add the package name in the text box next to the word Package. Re: [Bug 1556387] Re: Unity8 Login Hangs
Attaching two screen shots. First is at Signon prompt waiting for Password. Second is after password entered and "Enter" key depressed. ieldI don't get another Signon Screen. I get a hung state with an intermediate screen with No Password entry field. Seems like the signon request is accepted and waiting for validation like from a server that is offline. [Bug 1557258] [NEW] random wifi hangs when transferring large files at high speeds using BCM4331 wifi
Public bug reported: My system is: macbook pro retina late 2012 with BCM4331 wifi card OS: ubuntu 15.10 driver version: 6.30.223.248+bdcom-0ubuntu7 When transferring large files over wifi using the BCM4331 the wifi hangs randomly. echo 1 > reset in /sys... hangs the system. I tried using the hybrid-v35_64-nodebug-pcoem-6_30_223_271.tar.gz from the Broadcom site, but the result is the same. This does not seem to be a hardware bug, as in MacOS I cannot replicate the problem. When this happens, the system is operational. No kernel panics or other information in logs. iwlist wlan0 scan reports device busy. rmmod wl hangs the system. When transfering over smb on low speed (about 10MB/s) the hangs are appearing less often. However, over NFS (reading) with 30-40 MB/s this happens after less than 1 minute of the transfer. >From time to time I get in the logs: [ 655.114258] d4b65ff9 880457443da8 817ebf13 [ 655.114263] 880457443de8 8107b9d6 [ 655.114267] 88045696e078 88044fcc8000 8803dd725900 009b [ 655.114271] Call Trace: [ 655.114281] [] dump_stack+0x45/0x57 [ 655.114289] [] warn_slowpath_common+0x86/0xc0 [ 655.114293] [] warn_slowpath_null+0x1a/0x20 [ 655.114313] [] cfg80211_roamed+0x86/0xa0 [cfg80211] [ 655.114368] [] wl_notify_roaming_status+0xc5/0x140 [wl] [ 655.114415] [] wl_event_handler+0x64/0x1f0 [wl] [ 655.114459] [] ? wl_free_wdev.isra.23+0x80/0x80 [wl] [ 655.114464] [] kthread+0xd8/0xf0 [ 655.114468] [] ? kthread_create_on_node+0x1f0/0x1f0 [ 655.114473] [] ret_from_fork+0x3f/0x70 [ 655.114477] [] ? kthread_create_on_node+0x1f0/0x1f0 [ 655.114480] ---[ end trace 673f2b48cc352431 ]--- Thanks ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 15.10 Package: bcmwl-kernel-source 6.30.223.248+bdcom-0ubuntu7 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 4.2.0-34.39-generic 4.2.8-ckt4 Uname: Linux 4.2.0-34-generic x86_64 NonfreeKernelModules: wl ApportVersion: 2.19.1-0ubuntu5 Architecture: amd64 CurrentDesktop: KDE Date: Tue Mar 15 03:04:54 2016 InstallationDate: Installed on 2015-05-16 (303 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu-Server 15.04 "Vivid Vervet" - Release amd64 (20150422) SourcePackage: bcmwl UpgradeStatus: Upgraded to wily on 2015-12-11 (94 days ago) ** Affects: bcmwl (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug wily ** Description changed: My system is: macbook pro retina late 2012 with BCM4331 wifi card OS: ubuntu 15.10 driver version: 6.30.223.248+bdcom-0ubuntu7 When transferring large files over wifi using the BCM4331 the wifi hangs randomly. echo 1 > reset in /sys... hangs the system. Please note your current BIOS is already in the Bug Description, so posting this on the old BIOS would not be helpful. Also, you don't have to create a new bug report. [Bug 1537762] Re: syncrepl does not work when using tls
Perhaps the issue is that your certificates have too short RSA keys. In GnuTLS SECURE256 requires at least 3072-bit public key. [Bug 1468027] Re: change default CJK fonts to Noto CJK
In an attempt to fix bug #1540063 better I'm playing with variants of the new 64-language-selector-prefer.conf file via a PPA: https://launchpad.net/~gunnarhj/+archive/ubuntu/japanese-fonts However, there is a risk that the current test version of the file affects rendering of Chinese contents adversely under a non-Chinese locale. Therefore I'd appreciate if a few Chinese users could install language-selector from the PPA and let us know how Chinese characters look in a session with a non-Chinese locale. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1468027 Title: change default CJK fonts to Noto CJK To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/fontconfig/+bug/1468027/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1557246] Re: Sync limba 0.5.6-1 (universe) from Debian unstable (main)
Explaining why this should be synced: The release of Limba in Debian fixes the FTBFS Ubuntu is currently affected by. Additionally the 0.5.6 release is a massive bugfix release for the venv-build module of Limba which would be very beneficial to have in an Ubuntu LTS release. Limba has (AFAIK) no reverse dependencies in Ubuntu (Debian has a few), so syncing this should be very safe. There have been no API or ABI breaks in that release too. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1557246 Title: Sync limba 0.5.6-1 (universe) from Debian unstable (main) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/limba/+bug/1557246/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
