[Bug 735675] Re: bzdiff does not pass -I option to diff
This patch is broken: 1. $OPTIONS is used (unquoted) in 4 different places but this patch only updates one of them 2. Quoting $OPTIONS prevents use of multiple options Unfortunately I don't see a reasonable way to fix this while using only POSIX shell features. - If bzdiff is changed to use bash then the options can be accumulated into an array variable. This would be fine in Debian and Ubuntu, but not upstream. - POSIX allows positional arguments to be used in an array-like way, but we already use them for the filenames. - This could be done by escaping, quoting and concatenating the options and then using eval to expand to multiple arguments. But this is not what I would consider reasonable! -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/735675 Title: bzdiff does not pass -I option to diff To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/bzip2/+bug/735675/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1540110] Re: gnome-disk-utility (shown as "Disks") shows SMART option grayed for USB connect disks despite being available.
Maybe it is due to the fact (https://www.smartmontools.org/wiki /Supported_USB-Devices) that USB connected disks usually need a '-d' option to enable S.M.A.R.T. support. In fact, for the same disk, trying first: $ sudo smartctl -d scsi -H -i -A -l error -l selftest '/dev/sdb' gives "SMART support is: Unavailable - device lacks SMART capability.", whereas: $ sudo smartctl -d scsi -d sat -H -i -A -l error -l selftest '/dev/sdb' gives "SMART support is: Available - device has SMART capability.//SMART support is: Enabled", and the full output expected. And also in GSmartControl I have to add the "-d sat" option to Preferences/Drives to enable S.M.A.R.T. support and view attributes. The difficulty to include this in gnome-disk-utility is that each disk needs a different "-d" option... -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1540110 Title: gnome-disk-utility (shown as "Disks") shows SMART option grayed for USB connect disks despite being available. [Bug 1659448] Re: grub fails to install bootloader for zesty LVM with Encryption
It appears to be because since November, we changed partman to create LVM installs without a separate /boot. Unfortunately, /boot is still required for LVM+crypto, as grub2 by itself can't load cryptodisks (unless the option is enabled, that is), and doing so would make it necessary to unlock the cryptodisk twice -- once for grub, and another time for the kernel. For now, let's just make sure crypto still uses a /boot partition. ** Also affects: partman-auto-lvm (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Changed in: partman-auto-lvm (Ubuntu Zesty) Status: New => Triaged ** Changed in: partman-auto-lvm (Ubuntu Zesty) Importance: Undecided => Critical ** Changed in: partman-auto-lvm (Ubuntu Zesty) Assignee: (unassigned) => Mathieu Trudel-Lapierre (cyphermox) ** Changed in: partman-auto-lvm (Ubuntu Zesty) Milestone: None => ubuntu-17.02 ** Changed in: grub-installer (Ubuntu Zesty) Status: Triaged => Invalid ** Also affects: ubiquity (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Changed in: ubiquity (Ubuntu Zesty) Status: New => Triaged ** Changed in: ubiquity (Ubuntu Zesty) Importance: Undecided => Critical ** Changed in: ubiquity (Ubuntu Zesty) Assignee: (unassigned) => Mathieu Trudel-Lapierre (cyphermox) ** Changed in: ubiquity (Ubuntu Zesty) Milestone: None => ubuntu-17.02 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1659448 Title: grub fails to install bootloader for zesty LVM with Encryption To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/grub-installer/+bug/1659448/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Solution: Refreshed new window Reproducible?: Yes, dragging the refreshed tab to the other browser leaves the video behind again. about:support dump: { "application": { "name": "Firefox", "osVersion": "Linux 4.4.0-59-generic", "version": "52.0a2", "buildID": "20170124004210", "userAgent": "Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:52.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/52.0", "safeMode": false, "supportURL": "https://support.mozilla.org/1/firefox/52.0a2/Linux/en-GB/;, "numTotalWindows": 3, "numRemoteWindows": 3, "remoteAutoStart": true, "autoStartStatus": 1 }, "modifiedPreferences": { "accessibility.typeaheadfind.flashBar": 0, "accessibility.typeaheadfind": true, "browser.cache.disk.hashstats_reported": 1, "browser.cache.frecency_experiment": 3, "browser.cache.disk.smart_size.first_run": false, "browser.cache.disk.smart_size.use_old_max": false, "browser.cache.disk.capacity": 358400, "browser.cache.disk.filesystem_reported": 1, "browser.download.importedFromSqlite": true, "browser.places.smartBookmarksVersion": 8, "browser.sessionstore.upgradeBackup.latestBuildID": "20170124004210", "browser.startup.homepage": "https://start.duckduckgo.com;, "browser.startup.homepage_override.buildID": "20170124004210", "browser.startup.homepage_override.mstone": "52.0a2", "browser.tabs.warnOnClose": false, "browser.urlbar.lastSuggestionsPromptDate": 20161103, "browser.urlbar.maxRichResults": 12, "browser.urlbar.daysBeforeHidingSuggestionsPrompt": 2, "browser.urlbar.userMadeSearchSuggestionsChoice": true, "dom.apps.lastUpdate.buildID": "20161025170400", "dom.push.userAgentID": "0409bc07694844a0be34e8c4dd890e8f", "dom.apps.reset-permissions": true, "dom.gamepad.extensions.enabled": true, "dom.apps.lastUpdate.mstone": "49.0.2", "extensions.lastAppVersion": "52.0a2", "font.internaluseonly.changed": true, "media.gmp-manager.buildID": "20170124004210", "media.gmp.storage.version.observed": 1, "media.webrtc.debug.log_file": "/tmp/WebRTC.log", "media.gmp-gmpopenh264.lastUpdate": 1477734330, "media.gmp-gmpopenh264.version": "1.6", "media.gmp-gmpopenh264.abi": "x86_64-gcc3", "media.eme.enabled": true, "media.gmp-manager.lastCheck": 1485693540, "media.gmp-widevinecdm.version": "1.4.8.903", "media.gmp-widevinecdm.lastUpdate": 1485632715, "media.gmp-widevinecdm.abi": "x86_64-gcc3", "network.prefetch-next": false, "network.dns.disablePrefetch": true, "network.cookie.prefsMigrated": true, "network.predictor.cleaned-up": true, "network.http.speculative-parallel-limit": 0, "places.database.lastMaintenance": 1485279887, "places.history.expiration.transient_current_max_pages": 84369, "places.favicons.optimizeToDimension": 64, "plugin.importedState": true, "plugin.disable_full_page_plugin_for_types": "application/pdf", "plugin.state.flash": 1, "print.print_margin_top": "0.5", "print.print_paper_width": " 8.27", "print.print_to_file": false, "print.print_orientation": 0, "print.print_paper_name": "iso_a4", "print.print_unwriteable_margin_right": 25, "print.print_paper_height": " 11.69", "print.print_scaling": " 1.00", "print.print_unwriteable_margin_left": 25, "print.print_margin_left": "0.5", "print.print_unwriteable_margin_bottom": 56, "print.print_duplex": 0, "print.print_margin_right": "0.5", "print.print_oddpages": true, "print.print_bgcolor": false, "print.print_shrink_to_fit": true, "print.print_bgimages": false, "print.print_margin_bottom": "0.5", "print.print_unwriteable_margin_top": 25, "print.print_in_color": true, "print.print_page_delay": 50, "print.print_paper_data": 0, "print.print_paper_size_unit": 0, "print.print_evenpages": true, "privacy.sanitize.timeSpan": 2, "privacy.cpd.downloads": false, "privacy.cpd.cookies": false, "privacy.donottrackheader.value": 1, "privacy.clearOnShutdown.passwords": false, "privacy.donottrackheader.enabled": true, "privacy.cpd.formdata": false, "privacy.cpd.history": false, "privacy.cpd.sessions": false, "services.sync.declinedEngines": "forms,history", "services.sync.lastPing": 1485627978, "services.sync.lastSync": "Sun Jan 29 2017 15:18:25 GMT+ (GMT)", "services.sync.numClients": 4,

[Bug 1576042] Re: Firefox 46 update causes theme errors
Everything's well on Mint KDE 17. Only the same minor graphical glitches as I mentioned above. By the way, I discovered that you can solve those if you compile Firefox against gtk2, but I don't bother. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1576042 Title: Firefox 46 update causes theme errors To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/oxygen-gtk3/+bug/1576042/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
