Problem: My audio is not working. I'm getting that "Dummy Output" in the
sound settings. I've been scouring the web, but nothing I try is

  When my ASUS VW193 external monitor is connected to the VGA port of my
  laptop (AMD Radeon 7470m) internal laptop monitor stops working. Using

I feel like this would be acceptable, from a security standpoint, to
enable at build time. It would be disabled by default and upstream makes
it clear that it should only be enabled if you know what you're doing:

After reading bug reports and comments on social media, I have to assume
that there are users out there that know what they're doing and depend
on this feature.

If this feature is enabled in an SRU, the upload must include the fix
for CVE-2013-1362:

There's no need to take this change through the security pocket since
the current package is not vulnerable to CVE-2013-1362. It can take the
normal SRU route directly to the updates pocket.

Hi KC,

If you see in the log there is this message:
' usermod: user 'kc' does not exist'
This means that there is no user with 'JMH' username.

Could you please specify a valid username when it requests for the users in the 
kismet group?
An easy solution is to uninstall and install kismet again.

This issue has been fixed in the newest version of kismet.
It is a duplicate of a previously reported bug and I'm marking it as such.

When I finally saw: "wine32_1.8.7-1ubuntu1_i386.deb", it was not 0B, but "171.4 
kB (171,434 bytes)", so I don't know what is up with this package...


[The good news: with Lubuntu 17.04 and wine 1.8.7-1ubuntu1, my Windows 
development GIMP 2.9.5
installs and loads fine (have not tried to do anything yet, but...)]

In "properties" -> "Open With" dialogue the "Default Application" list
entry can't be removed. But this entry is replicated in the "Open With"

Apllication". After opening this dialogue, the default application in
the first row of the right-click menu is updated.

After a review, Yakkety did get the following commits via other bug
reports:

d37117d ethernet: use net core MTU range checking in more drivers
6426a88 net: use core MTU range checking in virt drivers
89110d9 net: use core MTU range checking in virt drivers
e84f31d net: centralize net_device min/max MTU checking
fe5473b hv_netvsc: remove excessive logging on MTU change


This changed the MTU checking in some places and not all.  I think commits 
91572088e3f and 3331aa378e9b are needed.

I built a V2 Yakkety test kernel with these two commits.  It can be

I just installed the latest Lubuntu (17.04) and installed the latest standard 
GIMP in my repositories (2.8.20-1).
The Layers/Channels/Paths/Undo/Brushes/Patterns/Gradients combined dock ( 
Whew! - is there a shorter name for this initially standard opening combo dock?)
was so far to the right on my screen that I had to snag it with Alt-Drag (see 
screenshot).
I am using the proprietary NVidia 304 package (which I have been automatically 
installing since (so far) Nouveau always manages to crash something I try to 
use;  I have not actually tried it yet with the new Lubuntu, I suppose I ought 
to try one day...), and my monitor is set to a resolution of 1792x1344 (where 
DO they get these wierd coordinates?)
Since GIMP remembers window placement between sessions, and I moved the 
window/dock so that it was entirely visible, this is obviously no longer a 
problem,
but it would look bad for a new user of GIMP, and not everyone knows about 
Alt-Drag to lasso straying windows...

I agree that  null field is a bit boring, but it's one of  those  skills
which could be really useful  but  we underestimate because it's  not an
active spell -  I think  it  gives the hero certain utility which  is
often forgotten.

I do however thing the range  on the thing could do  with increasing,
perhaps to around  1300 or so.

When using Ubuntu Gnome 17.04 live usb my wifi network shows as
available, but when I enter the password it can't connect. I attempted
several times and ensured the password was correct.

Tried using Ubuntu Gnome 16.04 live usb as a comparison and it connects
without issue.

I know my wifi adapter is supported by linux. I have Xubuntu 16.04
installed on my hard drive and have never had an issue with wifi
connection.
