[Bug 1693756] Re: [Xenial][ DW5816e] to support qmi over mbim which needed for FCC authentication.
Hi Sebastien, Thanks for your review, there are some reasons to take the bumping version patch. 1. to verify which patches in libqmi is needed , it need a known worked modemmanager and libmbim (yakkety version) help, and there are version check both in configure and build dependency. 2. looks the bumping version action was took by upstream when a big change like this qmi-over-mbim. So, people might expect qmi-over-mbim should not be there before such version. So, I was confused about should I keep the bumped version there to keep this expectation synced. All patches were picked up by git bisect method in the environment setting of point 1, then install all backported packages together for a sanity check in final. And the decision to keep the version bumping was made based on point 2. In another side about why not just take whole new version: by roughly diff of libqmi, changed no. of lines of backport patches to xenial libqmi-glib1-1.12.6-1 1791 changed no. of lines of xenial libqmi-glib1-1.12.6-1 to yakkety libqmi 1.16.0-1 142332 And just taking new version would introduce more changes in libmbim and modemmanager which not related to qmi-over-mbim for DW5816 by just take yakkety libqmi 1.16.0-1. So, the idea is fewer changes might have higher SRU possibility. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1693756 Title: [Xenial][ DW5816e] to support qmi over mbim which needed for FCC authentication. Also, do you want screen shots/video of the problem? A perhaps more detailed description of the problem is that sometimes when you get mouseover text, at least in gnome, there appers to be a large indent before the text blocking all or part of it from being displayed. If you mouse off and mouse back on getting the mouseover text again, the issue temporarily goes away. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1580168 Title: Tab descriptions are unreadable, black text on black background To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-gnome/+bug/1580168/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1698547] Re: pasting into gnome-terminal pastes into a different terminal window
Yes, it's very rare, only happened to me twice so far since upgrading to 17.04. Unfortunately, I don't know what triggers it. Never use terminal tabs so I didn't think to test that. Nor Shift+Insert, although since even clipboard paste is affected, it's likely that Shift+Insert is too. [Bug 1699859] Re: After upgrade to libwagon2-java 2.12, maven crashes when attempting to build any project
Now that maven 3.5 is available in artful, I am no longer able to reproduce this issue. There might be some interdependencies between wagon2 and maven, but it seems to have been resolved. If you can verify that maven works for you as well with the latest upgrades, I believe this can be marked fix released. ** Changed in: wagon2 (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1699859 Title: After upgrade to libwagon2-java 2.12, maven crashes when attempting to build any project To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/wagon2/+bug/1699859/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 575966] Re: Fw: oh my! this is so beautiful)
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 429841 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/429841 Hi! Just take a look at these beautiful things, they are so nice, check this out http://bit.do/dxhKz Sent from my iPhone, Kenshin Himura From: Bug 575966 [mailto:575...@bugs.launchpad.net] Sent: Sunday, June 25, 2017 1:15 PM To: himura.kens...@libero.it Subject: Looks like Angie Noir I had to panhandle for a few months in 2008, and I tried my best to always be cheerful, always joking around, always said thank you, etc. I'd rather do some real thing, even the ribbons ... the ribbons in stores are junky and cost like $3 and are probably made overseas. So the customer is getting a better product that's US-made. I've never flown a sign. I think some time it would be fun to learn to letter well, I mean really well, and go out with a bunch of pre-cut pieces of cardboard and make up some funny signs, and tell people I'll make them a sign saying whatever they want, and take whatever they feel like paying. You know, funny stuff like "Unattended children will be given a cappuchino and a puppy" and "To err is human but to really screw up requires a computer". What I don't like about being a beggar is, all the long-time ones get hardened, just seeing people as cash machines. They don't say thank you. I like a lot better, doing something that's valuable and people pay me because they think I'm doing a good thing. Right now I'm torn between doing street music, or learning to do caricatures. My impression is that there's more money in the caricatures, but I've done street music and even though I seem to average only $10 an hour, I get people who are genuinely touched by the music and will double back to put a tip in the box. People don't get touched that way by a goofy drawing. [Bug 1700395] [NEW] brief system non-responsiveness with disk activity
Public bug reported: Since the upgrade to kernel 4.10.0-24, I'm noticing brief (several second) system non-responsiveness when disk activity is moderately intense. The level of intensity required is only, say, rsync'ing a day's photos from a mini-SD card (/dev/mmcblk0p1) or rsync'ing a directory from SSD to a server. The system logs are not showing errors. [Bug 1610944] Re: GNOME Online Accounts breaks if you log out (until you reboot)
** Description changed: + Impact + == + After logging out, GNOME Online Accounts doesn't work the next time you log in. + + This bug was a Release Blocker for Fedora 26. (Fedora 26 will be + released in July). + + Test Case + = + From Ubuntu GNOME, click Settings>Online Accounts and add your Google account. Install Evolution if it's not installed. Verified that your Google account has synced. + + Log out. Log in. It may help to reproduce the bug log in to a different + session (GNOME on Wayland instead of GNOME, or the other way around). + + Open Evolution. Verify that no errors are reported and that your Google + account is still syncing. + + After installing the gnome-session update, I recommend rebooting once to + clear any old lingering GNOME Online Accounts processes from previous + sessions. + + Regression Potential + + This fix is the same as was accepted into Fedora 26. It is a workaround by killing all the user's D-Bus sessions when the user logs out. This fix has been backported from gnome-session 3.25.3. It has not been applied to the 3.24 git branch upstream. + + Since 16.10 has almost reached its end of life (July), I am not + proposing this fix there. I believe 16.10 is the first release affected + since Ubuntu moved many more services to systemd user sessions in that + release. + + The patch tries to only kill the D-Bus sessions if the session being + logged out is the final remaining session for the user. + + The workaround makes sense to me. It seems similar to the + KillUserProcesses option that was pushed into systemd to fix this kind + of problem but it's more limited than the systemd method so hopefully it + won't be as controversial. + + Original Bug Report + === Can't add any online accounts in after opened Online accounts + mark is faded, can't click.
