For anyone affected in 18.04, I have found in "Settings > Language and Region > Input Sources > + > ... > Other" the layout "German (dead tilde)". [Bug 1545433] Re: package python-aptdaemon 1.1.1-1ubuntu5.2 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1
The upgrade probably ran out of space -- the root is only 5G, so unless care is taken to update incrementally, you will run out of space. I have successfully updated three of the STCK1A8LFC Intel Compute Sticks, and used a micro-SD card to provide additional space for the package downloads. A USB stick could be used for the same purpose, make the link /var/cache/apt/archives to a directory on the additional storage set up with the "lock" file and "partial" directory. Of course, update the BIOS on the device first, there have been many fixes. The supplied oem packages provide working HDMI audio, wireless, and bluetooth. The 4.4 kernel upgrade offered to the user will have similar space problems. The only glitch is the HDMI audio, which needs an edit of the i915_component.h file (bug 1755309). The oem HDMI audio package install will then work. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1545433 Title: package python-aptdaemon 1.1.1-1ubuntu5.2 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/aptdaemon/+bug/1545433/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Its being caused by the gnome system-monitor snap. Its author is missing some permissions required to use it properly on your system. It looks like the system monitor is running and it keeps polling the file causing this denial. The apparmor rule to fix this is /run/mount/utab r, You could add it to the file in /var/lib/snapd/apparmor/profiles/snap.gnome-system-monitor (it actually might be under a slightly different variant of - and .) and manually replace using the apparmor parser sudo apparmor_parser -r /var/lib/snapd/apparmor/profiles/snap.gnome- system-monitor Unfortunately snappy may update this file on you and you will loose the rule you have added. The best solution is to contact the snap author so he can update the snap to include the new permission in the snaps security manifest. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1787600 Title: kernel: [ 6230.503218] audit: type=1400 audit(1534512537.321:398960): apparmor="DENIED" operation="open" profile="snap.gnome-system-monitor .gnome-system-monitor" name="/run/mount/utab" pid=2265 comm="gnome- system-mo" requested_mask="r" denied_mask="r" fsuid=1000 ouid=0 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/apparmor/+bug/1787600/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1787680] [NEW] guest fails to start if another running guest has an interface in the same bridge
Public bug reported: I am unable to start a second guest if there is one running, and it has an interface in the same bridge. Steps to reproduce: 1. Create two vms with one network interface each that would be connected to the same bridge br0. 2. Start the first vm. It starts just fine. Virtual inteface that is created is vnet0. root@demo01kvm01:~# brctl show br0 bridge name bridge id STP enabled interfaces br0 8000.000bab82faf5 no eth0 vnet0 3. Attempt to start the second VM using virsh start. It will fail with the following message: root@demo01kvm01:~# virsh start demo01inmon01 error: Failed to start domain demo01inmon01 error: Unable to add bridge br0 port vnet1: Device or resource busy /var/log/syslog Aug 17 19:16:43 demo01kvm01 libvirtd[3146]: Unable to add bridge br0 port vnet1: Device or resource busy 4. If you shut down the first VM, and start the second VM, it succeeds just fine as in step 1. However now the first VM won't start with the same exact error message. So for some reason only one vnet can be added to an existing bridge. Second one fails to get added, and therefore the VM vails to start. root@demo01kvm01:~# lsb_release -rd Description:Ubuntu 16.04.5 LTS Release:16.04 root@demo01kvm01:~# apt-cache policy qemu-kvm libvirt-bin bridge-utils qemu-kvm: Installed: 1:2.5+dfsg-5ubuntu10.31 Candidate: 1:2.5+dfsg-5ubuntu10.31 Version table: *** 1:2.5+dfsg-5ubuntu10.31 500 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu xenial-updates/main amd64 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status 1:2.5+dfsg-5ubuntu10.30 500 500 http://security.ubuntu.com/ubuntu xenial-security/main amd64 Packages 1:2.5+dfsg-5ubuntu10 500 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu xenial/main amd64 Packages libvirt-bin: Installed: 1.3.1-1ubuntu10.24 Candidate: 1.3.1-1ubuntu10.24 Version table: *** 1.3.1-1ubuntu10.24 500 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu xenial-updates/main amd64 Packages 500 http://security.ubuntu.com/ubuntu xenial-security/main amd64 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status 1.3.1-1ubuntu10 500 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu xenial/main amd64 Packages bridge-utils: Installed: 1.5-9ubuntu1 Candidate: 1.5-9ubuntu1 Version table: *** 1.5-9ubuntu1 500 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu xenial/main amd64 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status ** Affects: libvirt (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1787680 Title: guest fails to start if another running guest has an interface in the same bridge To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libvirt/+bug/1787680/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1787288] Re: gnome-shell window title bar wastes space when maximized
So here is the upstream answer: Window decorations are client-side on wayland, that means they are just another part of the application window the same way as the products you are viewing. We cannot tell what parts of the window are decorations, or whether there are in fact any decorations at all. It's entirely up to applications to adjust to window state changes if they desire. (In the X11 session, there is a _GTK_HIDE_TITLEBAR_WHEN_MAXIMIZED hint that applications can set, and you'll find extensions that apply that to any windows. But X11 is a legacy technology at this point, and we won't add any features based on that.) I belive amd users can do the similar thing. reference: https://devtalk.nvidia.com/default/topic/830711/linux/failed- to-initialize-the-glx-module-please-check-in-your-x-log-file-that-the- glx-module-has-been-lo/ -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1752938 Title: Upgrading Ubuntu 18.04 disables GPU hardware acceleration To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg/+bug/1752938/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
